Re: 71' (gonna be) a one of a kind custom
No build thread for me - that would require progress and stuff to talk about, neither of which I have. I'm STILL waiting on the painter... Body work is all done, but my cab and bed keep getting shuffled around the shop while he works on other stuff (that situation is about to come to a head).
As soon as I get it all back, it will be sitting on this pile of scrap.

Re: 71' (gonna be) a one of a kind custom
So, what's in the box? (Every time i say that i hear it in brad pitts voice, you know, from the movie se7en) lol
A little more bling for the diff I looked at this..... Automatically I started thinking there must be like one guy at Hotchkis that is responsible for putting all these stickers on their products. To that guy I say, You failed. lol Did as much as I could last night, remember, I live in Texas and it got up to 103° today. My garage is sweltering, lol

Re: 71' (gonna be) a one of a kind custom
You got further than I did. I haven't been out to work on my truck since July. And even that was for a very short amount of time. Humidity sucks! Parts look sweet, and what you've done so far looks great. I especially love the blue calipers.

Re: 71' (gonna be) a one of a kind custom
Thanks guys! I am proud to say this officially concludes the suspension portion of this build! This is a huge milestone for me! I am very excited, I am still waiting on the coater to get the wheels done and saving up for some tires. I think my estimate on starting the engine may have been a little too ambitious. It will probably be closer to the new year before I can start it. But I will get some stuff done here and there between now and then. So please, stay tuned and check back often!

Re: 71' (gonna be) a one of a kind custom
So I am trying to work a deal that will land me an Edelbrock dual quad set up as well as two turbos. Now, how sick would it be to have a 365 stroker running that dual quad (junking the Edelbrock carbs and replacing each of them with Holly Terminator EFI throttle bodies) with intercooled turbos pushing each throttle body?

Re: 71' (gonna be) a one of a kind custom
So a friend of mine found a type of desk top dyno that lets you put in all of your engine specs and basically runs a virtual dyno on your engine. So we put in all of my specs (very detailed specs) and here is what my engine "should" run:
492HP @ 5500RPM 487Tq @ 4500RPM This is without the bottle. The simulator had an add-on for NOS but didn't look right to me. This should be one beast of a motor!
