Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
I have been looking at this backdrop with an old car wash sign for years. I finally snapped a few pictures of my 71 today.
I am having problems getting the picture to upload, so here is the link. http://picasaweb.google.com/kabrood/...91832273301906 Last edited by Yooper truck; 06-19-2010 at 11:50 PM. |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
That is a nice STRAIGHT truck! Is it all original? It looks like it even has the original paint! If so, someone took great care of it! It looks like you could polish it up and go! I did notice that the grill isnt original, I have been curios about those grills and thought about getting one for my 69 C-10, I have seen them like that with the "chevrolet" lettering missing, is the grill close to an original? It sure looks nice! Aaron

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
This is my new 1967 Chevy. The guy I got it from wanted side marker lights so he took off the 67 fenders and put on 68 fenders. He did give me the 67 fenders. I am going to switch them back.

Carryall, I hope you are n ot going to tear up that nice truck to put those 67 fenders back on. It looks nice.
I'm curious about the bed wood. did you do that? Are there strips or are the boads just bolted down?

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
Here's my 72 Cheyenne Super SWB 4x4 daily driver. It has under 100k miles on the original 350/th350 drivetrain. As soon as my Impala is finished up, I'll be starting in on the cleanup and repairs. Primarily just needs a paint job, carpet, and some new bed wood.

I normally hang out over in the squarebody section, but if you lived in IL, I would trade my 81 for your 67. It's beautiful.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
Here's a couple pics of my 69. Had it for almost 2 years now. 350 w/ 3 on the tree. Lowered 3.5" front and 5" in back. Trying to get my exhaust redone these days.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
I'm new here, but this is my project. This is actually my dad's truck, he's had it since the early 80's and been wanting to restore it for as long as I can remember. It's a 1971 Chevy that's been sitting in our yard for the past ten years as it wasn't in driveable condition. My boyfriend and I are currently restoring it for him and adding several custom touches to it. Currently we've completed the majority of the bodywork and have it in primer. It had major rust in the floor of the cab which was cut out and new metal was welded in and bodyworked. It's going to be painted a custom dark blue pearl color. Here are some picture of it when we started and they way it currently looks in primer.
Here's a link to an album of all of the pictures of taken of the work that's been done. http://s667.photobucket.com/albums/v.../1971%20Chevy/ |
