Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
Dylan my busa went 192mph on the gps on a 9/10ths of a mile from a 30 mile per hour rolling start which it is a kind of racing we do down here in south florida. I sold it because I was riding kind of crazy and I am too old for that.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
I dunno. I love the ralleys and not normally a fan of the Coys. Your dark ones I like though, so it's hard to say which way to go. What's the wife say since she bought you the Coys?

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
Well keep in mind that I am just setting up a second set of wheels just to have a different look depending where I am showing the truck at. She says that I am driving her crazy. Let's see what she buys me this year for christmas maybe I will get my big brake kit from willwood or another. Truck.
Will see.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
almost ready to cruise, woulda been done already but was in DC for the past 5 months working so ill be back home the the 31. ive been flying back every 3 weeks (my wife thinks its to see her but its) to work on the truck. I put the engine back together, and put all my parts off my old truck like the one belt sys, headers, intake and carb on to this new one.
Now i just need to finish up the ac, buy a new back bumper and rocker panels then its ready for paint. Rims would be nice but i really need to finish my poncho engine for the ventura. i should have just dropped a 454 instead of building a $$$pontiac engine$$$$ lol

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
This Bahamian guy named Derek in Hollywood, i saw his work on muscle cars and for his price around 1500 with metal patches not bondo i cant beat it. his body work is great and painting is above average. i dont really want a perfect paint job (cause i know ill be very over protective) and my wife wont let me pay for a perfect paint job either lol . I was still gonna go by your guy's place once i fix the shifter and get a quote because i was very impressed when i saw yours.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
Thats the way I felt I did not want a trailer queen but just a nice looking truck that I was not going to be over protective and have a heart attack it it got a dent or a scratch not to say that I may not turn it into one but for now I am having too much fun with it.
Thats funny about this guy Derek because the guy that did my firewall and painted my engine bay hood and roof his name is derek and he is in Hollywood. The name of the shop he works in is #1 Paint and Body I am really good friends with the owner of that shop for the last 20 years he does alot of work for my dealership. I wonder if it is the same guy? Look at the picts below and you can see him working on my truck...this is the only pict I have where you kind of can see him...
