Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
On the wheels not being centered...that's common with bagged trucks....I ended up having some spacers made to move the trailing arms back (put in between the T/A crossmember and the t/a mount)
Or you can move the whole crossmember back the necessary amount.

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
ah, ok, well that makes me feel better lol...thanks.
i thought i screwed something up! im thinking of switching to 1.5" blocks to keep the bags from getting that flattened out, they just scares me. that flatten out so much, the notch makes contact with the bags. so as soon as i find some 1.5" blocks to trade or buy, ill be swapping those in and straightening the bag up, then fix the shock mounts. gotta do something while the compressor is down... *edit* $10.81 and a new v belt later, compressor is running like a champ! ill get on sanding down the doors this week and also repraying the window frame and passenger side door jambs.

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
lol..im working at it. and yes, i had to take a week of from work to get the quarters and roof sanded down and painted...man that sucked!
i may have found a new way to mount my bags...im thinking of something like this.. a little hard to see but its just the bags moved along the trailing arm, then mounted to a crossmember going across the frame. still thinking about it so i guess well see

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
uuuuuummmmmm!!! don't wanna burst ur bubble but, speaking from experience...the bags mounted to ur trailing arms will work for a while but in the longrun, no good....mine was that way and the driverside trailing arm started to seriously twist, bady so bad we made 6,yes 6 1/4" spacers under that sides bag to make up the difference in lift ended up doing the trianglulated 4 link much better, but lots more work just my opinion( and expereince) build is awesome otherwise checkout my build "dirty burb"

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
well im gonna try another idea...i bought some top mounts that bolt to the side of the frame, just looking for some lowers and ill be getting on it. it basically will let me get a few inches lower, just like the above picture would...just moving the bags outside the frame rather than in between it. i need a lower bag plate that will bolt to the stock coil location, and then ill weld gussets to strengthen it up some.
in the meantime, i got the back passenger door sanded down, inside and out, and primered up. i then hung it, which probably was a waste of 3 people and 20 minutes because i have to replace that rocker lol. hopefully i can get it off without removing the door, but i will if i have to. i did the get the new rocker in as well... heres a few pics of the past couple of days of work..

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
thanks, long time no see! hows the burb coming along?
thanks! got the front passenger door sanded down and primed, also scuffed the passenger door jambs and front window frame and reprimed that also, i was having compressor problems the first time around..and hung the door! this front door is super tight to open and close...does that mean it needs new pins?

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
and its on! nothing special, but glad its on now! lighting sucked today, so the door looks ugly but its the same color as the rest of the truck (except this 4th door area, for some reason its the only section that was really shiney when i sprayed it)

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
lol...man ur turning out to be my motivation!
well, since i ran out of primer earlier this week i cant do anything with the rear hatch and gate, and the front clip. sooo...im hopinh i can get my friends cherry picker over and start to pull this motor, clean up and shave the firewall, paint it, then get the my new motor in. BUT, i guess well see what i can do in the next few days, thats a tough one for me to do myself right now.
