Re: 1970 Med Olive Project
I started making my A/C and heater hoses tonight. This is my first time using the EZ Clip hose ends and I have to say I love them. Very easy to terminate (using the right crimping pliers) and no more going to the AC shop to have hoses made!! The hose is much better looking too!

The beauty of forums like this! Just no way to borrow tools (that might just be a good thing)!

Re: 1970 Med Olive Project
Mike did the VA come with all the EZ clips you needed or did you have to but additional ones?

Re: 1970 Med Olive Project
I have always wondered if there would be enough work for someone to do that as a business.....

Re: 1970 Med Olive Project
Good to know about that upgrade! I am getting close to ordering a unit and that will be very helpful. Thanks for that hint. I like that bulkhead fitting as well. That really cleans it up.

Re: 1970 Med Olive Project
I love the EZ clip stuff! I have it on both my GTO and my C10! I'm about ready to redo my engine side after doing my LS swap. They make it so easy to custom route your A/C lines, and if you change your mind later, or change things and need to redo a line, you aren't having to rely on another shop to do it.

Re: 1970 Med Olive Project
I have not mentioned this yet but I made the decision a few months ago to switch from outboard mounted bags to inboard mounted bags. I ordered a notch brace from PB that is designed for the inboard bags and it showed up last week. Today I picked it up from powder coat and got it installed.
If anyone is or knows someone who is planning to do a PB drop member, I have a rear notch brace and a set of lower bag mounts that I will save them a lot of money on.

Re: 1970 Med Olive Project
what are the pros to inboard vs. outboard bags? or is it just a personal preference?

Re: 1970 Med Olive Project
The only reason I did it is it will give me more wheel options should I decide to go wider in the future.

Re: 1970 Med Olive Project
I'm thinking about doing the same exact thing with the notch brace, move to the internal mount bags for future wheel options as well.

Yes there is Jimmy. Coy's now makes my wheel in a 20x12 so they may be in my future.
