Italian shoes, French furs, Swiss watches, Swedish meatballs (), and absolutely nothing from China. Remember import shops? Maybe one in every big city. Now if you say something in an import people will wonder why you even mentioned that, like Big Whoop!

Mmmm these tires were put in my AMX in 1988 . Getting it ready to drive it again . Funny but there are no checks or cracks in the tires but it’s getting new rims and tires . 14 inch rims don’t cut it anymore

Yep. It's criminal what the tire industry has been allowed to do by those who regulate them. I'm sure they enjoy the pleasure of one another's wife. It's ok as long as the date of mfgr is put on the tire. Then it's the customer's fault their tire with little wear blew out and caused injury and damage to their vehicle, possibly others. Pretty slick way to put the public at risk while gaining profits.

Those old Goodyear's sure look good for their age. Made in the day when tires lasted longer than banana's.

Re: Sold American!

I picked these up in a flea market today. I made a pair of sawhorses about seven years ago. They still work fine but, these saw horse brackets were $3 a pair, so I bought two pair….made in the USA 🇺🇸.

Speaking of home run, here are alternatives in US made baseball hats now that New Era has opted to use overseas labor.

I’ve got about eight Triple Aught Design hats. Made in California.
I like these covers because they delete the squatcho.

Re: Sold American!

I couldn’t get a battery I needed over here in Maine, drove across the bridge and bought a battery at Canadian Tire, guess where it was made? Right here in the Big PX . I do have many snap on’ s made in Canada. I own 3 kubota tractors made in us (Tennessee)most likely parts made in Japan. The Ferd and John Deere tractors I looked at had Chi-Com engines . We’re my Dad living (he fought in the pacific USN) I wouldn’t have bought them. I don’t like buying anything but things manufactured buy our allies.

i hear ya Pete.i do the same.i buy all i can made here in Canada or made in the U.S.A and more of us should try living that way,we'd be better off.I told the man at the tire shop looking for tires for my 72 truck a year ago the size and nothing made in China.he asked why and i told him why.i didn't want to support someone on the other side of the world and i didn't want junk.he said that's a myth?i told him if he wanted that crap on his car, help himself,i wasn't interested.when i ordered the Firestone Transforce tires i bought, from a dealer in Quebec,i was happy to see stamped on them "Made in Canada"beautiful, well built, quality tires.my wife is on Newfoundland visiting her folks but ordered 2 of those garden hoses that shrivel up when they're empty.they arrived yesterday,a 100 and a 50 footer.she drags the old garden hose about 125 feet to her greenhouse everyday and it's heavy.she had about 50 of them on her screen at Amazon, asking my opinion before she left.i said they're all made in China, one is going to be as good as the next, didn't matter, well they're here, the 100 footer is 65 feet and the 50 footer is 17??i guess you can pull them til they're about to snap to gain some length but that won't last??more China junk going back as soon as she gets home.

Re: Sold American!

Back when I lived in North Carolina a friend of mine lost an eye using one of those Chi-Com ball peen hammers. Only hammers you’ll find around my place are made by Estwing, Snap On and Craftsman (when they were made in USA). My father-in-law in New Zealand introduced me to Swazi outdoor clothing. They were a fine brand of clothing especially the rain gear and warm shirts. Unfortunately, last year they took their manufacturing out side of New Zealand to Communist China. My wife is presently over there helping her brother recover from a stroke, I told her if she gets a chance to look in second hand shops and find me some of the old New Zealand manufactured ones. I have some that have lasted 40 years with little to no wear.
