Re: My Facetruck thread.
I saw a temperature map and it showed the cold scooting across the US hanging north to pass above us, except further south along the Appalachians and your mountain ranges. We will getting a big dip in the jet stream this week to 'cool' things off a bit. I hope that misses you all.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Larry Did you go with TGI's for floor joist ? Last job I used them on was my nephews house and he wasnt to sure about them until I got them in place with all the centering parts and the 1-1/8th Plywood on top of them.. could drive a car on it ,, now its OSB not quite as strong ,, but way cheaper.. as for metal studs . .I wouldnt want them in my house because if you ever had a fire ..it all will fall down .

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Nice finishing touch. Is this local custom work? I'm a sucker for roll & pleat. My '67 interior will be done that way, in black.

Right where I was standing when I took the picture. I plan to start it soon. I'm still counting my pennies to see what I can afford.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
We are building a new field house at the school. After school my grandson came out and asked if we had something he could do.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
That boys dad is driving a Chevrolet 2500 HD with a 6.0. They were pulling a trailer and the dad mumbled "this thing won't pull at all.". The boy said "Well, it sounds like it's trying."

Re: My Facetruck thread.
I bet the other boys and girls in this school with your grandson sure wish they had a grandpa like you. I can see that in your family every one gets to learn equipment when young including you Larry ..Right?

Re: My Facetruck thread.
It wasn't very safe when I was learning. I look back at some of the things that I survived and it was only by the Grace of God that I'm still here.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Your new home looks large and I am sure it will be beautiful, Larry. Would you mind sharing any drawings of what you are building?
It was 3 years ago right now we were building our new house. We had an excellent contractor who made the process fun and pretty easy for us. I am guessing you have an excellent contractor too…. |
