Re: Project Vitamin C-10
Wow to think all these years that the Bible was unfinished....
Just kidding. That is a great accomplishment. Reminds me of a ghost story I read when I was young. A kid braves a haunted house to find the ghost haunting the place needs someone to hold up a lantern for him all night. The kid agrees to do this if it would put the spirit to rest. The ghost had made an oath in life that he would not rest until he had read the Bible cover to cover, and what he did not accomplish in life, he was doomed to complete in death. He needed the kid to hold the lantern for him while he finished his read. I never forgot that story, and now 35 years later you just reminded me of it. Time goes fast, and I decided to keep my regrets and things left unfinished to a minimum. Regrets are the ghosts that haunt us when we are old. Now I gotta get down to the garage and get some work done on my project !!! Happy weekend !

"Your truck might be moving slow, but look at everything else you have done to other people's rides."
Thanks Alan. It did make me feel better.

I don't know if I want to know where you are going with this Dennis. Got back in the shop tonight to get a mental inventory of where I left off. So many unfinished projects. I think it is time for me to strip off the front sheet metal and get the engine wired and fired. On a side note, I've been racking my brain on a neat way to wire the lights in the hood. Tell me if you think this will work. I want to mount a door jamb wire eliminator on the core support some how. Just wondering if the lights will flicker going down the road. I think if the hood is locked down good and doesn't move much it will work. That would eliminate the wires coming up the back side of the hood. I will use a 3 pin connector.

Ripped the sheet metal back off to access the engine better. I made the throttle rod today and messed with the TV cable. I have never worked on anything that had a TV cable. It's all new tome. Did some searching and found a write up from Bruce88 on adjusting it. When reading it I discovered I need a bracket for the eldebrock carb so the geometry will be right. I did take pics, but planning on taking more tonight. Also ordered ZDDP for the engine oil. Want to order DOT 5 brake fluid, but they are proud of that stuff. It's about $40-50 for a 1/2 gallon on ebay. I'll get some eventually unless somebody has a better and cheaper source.

Like this hood.
Does this one look familiar? I like the way I'm doing mine better.

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
I saw pics if this truck that you posted somewhere else. I noticed the drip rail but didn't notice the hood. The hood doesn't look bad and neither does the drip rail.

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
Sorry Dennis, I had to edit it. You bypassed the filters on a mods thread. It would be hypocritcal if i allowed it. Hope you understand.
Pics of the throttle rod and I got the ZDDP in the mail today. Thought it would a little bigger bottle. Still got to get the TV cable and brackets figured out. Return springs will be installed once the brackets are done. Also help Ronnie's Grandaughter when a contest. Click here

Got them mounted. I can't get a good side shot. Even if I could there isn't any front sheet metal on it. I had a little issue with the dust cap hitting the center cap. I massged it in and seems to be fine now. I don't have a pic of the dust cap after the massage. I just slowly flattened it out about 1/4" I didn't have time to clean them before install. Also trying to figure out a good place for a kill switch that will be hard to find. I was succesfull in placing one in my 69 Camaro that no one could find. I have a place in mind just need to see if it's convienant but out of sight.
