Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build
Hey guys, been gone awhile. Not much done on it, just driving it to work and around town. Thing is running great. I might roll it to the A&W Thurs. night meet in Lodi.
Thanks, Jesse |

The Lone Star Round Up. I have never driven the truck that far since l bought it in 1996. Ran pretty good, but I'm leaking gear oil from my differrential. Gotta re-seal it asap. Post pics from The A&W Meet if you can.

Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build
Nice ride! I just picked up a 63 and Im tossing around ideas as of what to do. I like it slammed but I'm sure the bed has to be raised too much for my liking. Any idea how high I'd have to raise the bed floor. I like what you did with it and I might be following along. Hope to see you at the goodguys in Pleasanton in August.

Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build
This shop has a ton of Hot Rod history. This is where Carroll Shelby and Dean Moon constructed the first Shelby Cobra in 1962. And a whole list of other things cool from Moon beam car to the Moonliner land speed car.
Thanks, Jesse |

Nice work, how did you get the satin red, looks great. The Larry Watson panel is a great direction, very 60's and unique. Looks like your having fun with it. |

Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build
The paint on the truck is just the original that was on it and the panel was just spay can and scuff pad, just messing around in the garage. The color i think im going is Alien green from the Kia Soul cars with a Flat satin Clear coat over it.
I just stopped by the shop when i was down that way this last week and got to talking and the guys showed me around. Very cool people there. I also stopped by the Orange Truck and Car Shop parts store. Those guys suck, horrible customer service in my opinon. I didnt buy anything then and won't in the future... Thanks, Jesse |

Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build
Man.. I have been there like 5 times in the past year. Those guys are the biggest kooks. Its like you have to know exactly what you want and the the number of the product. If you don't, its like taking their birthday away. Soup Nazi! I always forget something too cause I am so rushed. They do have a lot of goodies though..

Thanks for sharing the Moon shop photos. I'll bet your daughter will remember sitting in that dragster for the rest of her life. The smile says it all.
