In a 1962 6 cylinder engine. Is the OEM air cleaner oil bath?

Re: Lets see some 1960 - 1966 engine bays
Welcome to the board. I believe that is correct for the 6 cylinder air cleaner. Hopefully some others may add to this or you can repost your question within the main board area.

Yep, in 62 the only two six cylinders that were available in chevy trucks were the 235 and 261, they both came equipped with oil bath air cleaners

Recent: new rocker covers, air filter, leads, plugs, radiator shroud. Still a few more things on my list to clean it up (mainly hoses and radiator)

Re: Lets see some 1960 - 1966 engine bays
Time for another bump.
This 292 is eagerly awaiting an engine bay. Some basics, lump ported head, shaved, bigger valves, bbc roller rockers, comp cam 268H, .040 over bore with ross racing forged aluminum pistons, 625 CFM Demon carb, cliford intake and headers. Engine backed by a TKO600. Coulda done the ol 350, but this looks WAY better and will perform like a champ to. 1st pic is before and the other 2 are after. Pulled this out of a 64 Chevy and it's for my 66.

Re: Lets see some 1960 - 1966 engine bays
Not quite as perrty as the one above, but this is my 305E V6 in my 64 GMC. Did a heavy low end service and reseal. Also a repaint. Detroit diesel green. 600 cfm eddy and true dual exhaust. Sounds sweet with flowmaster 40's. Wouldn't trade that 305 for anything except a bigger big block v6.

Lots of tough acts to follow here! My '63 K15 with a Vortec 7.4. Pics don't do it justice. It really does look worse in person! Haha!
