How about a picture of the Owner of this fine truck?

Greg Beebe. My best friend and partner in this build. It is his truck, his money and his dream we are creating here. I am just a guy making sparks in my shop.

Re: Two is easier then one 1965 GMC S/W/BB build

If anyone has any requests for any details we have not shown, let me know. Will be working on the truck the next couple of days and would be happy to shoot pictures or even video on any of the hundreds of one off things we built on this truck.

We are pretty proud of it, but embarrassed it is taking so long to finish.

This is such a great and amazing build thread. I hope you keep updating it as you do more stuff to the trucks. Some other threads may get more replies, but this one is outstanding.

The tilting radiator cover came out great. We can hide just about everything.

I also widdled out a mount for the AC drier

So now we have split the truck once more.

The cab and bed are off the chassis and we will be finishing all the sheet metal inside the engine compartment and getting started on the bed

I will pop back in once we have something worth showing you.

Making great progress! That is some impressive machine work, do you have a background as a machinist or just hobby?

I really enjoy reading your thread..

I saw a seat the other day when I was scouring the interweb and now can't find it. I think you would like it. I will keep looking.

I own the equipment and am self taught. Been taking perfectly good material and turning it into scrap for years now. If I take my time and think ahead, I can usually get the part I am after.

Re: Two is easier then one 1965 GMC S/W/BB build

I want to change the name of this build thread, however the moderators administrators do not respond to countless e-mails.

Anyone have any idea how to get ahold of the folks that run this site?

Not sure if you are still looking for seat ideas...but I finally ran across a few for you.

Maybe not alligator skin, but I like the look of these.

Hi folks, sorry for the extreme absence. I some how got locked out of my own sign in but the Admins finally got it worked out.

We are deep into metal fabrication on the cab and bed and should be ready for paint by Easter.

It can be cheap, easy, or quick. Maximum is 2 out of 3. It would be a shame to get sloppy now.

Re: Two is easier then one 1965 GMC S/W/BB build

Sorry we have not been updating the build. Work has been happening but life gets in the way and you all know how that goes.

So anyway let me get you nice folks current. As in most things "full one off" we end up re-doing stuff as designs change and what not. Nothing new to anyone that has built a clean sheet project. In this instance it was the exhaust system that we built back in late 2018. We (Or more accurately I ) had designed the system as pretty much a rigid system with Silicone isolators and nothing else. ,

Also the clamps that we sourced from flow master were big and bulky and I hated them so We cut all of them out and went to v-band style clamps.

Looks like this now

Re: Two is easier then one 1965 GMC S/W/BB build

So that was the Exhaust re-do and we are happy with the results. It is in the polishing phase now and I will post some pictures of that when Greg gets done with it.

That brings us to the next change. Our Stainless steel fuel tank we scratch built was just not very attractive. It has a few issues that would have been difficult to get squared away so we scrapped it and went with an Aluminum tank from No Limit. We ordered it blank so we would take care of welding on the mounts and punching all the holes in it. We also would need to plumb it.

Re: Two is easier then one 1965 GMC S/W/BB build

Since we are in the plumbing stage we went ahead and built a mount for the transmission cooler and mounted and plumbed that too.

all the lines are now finished, and mounted. We made all of our own mounts and line separators as the aftermarket just did not have what we needed.
