Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3
I got a wall and a bit more of my garage primed last night. I can't wait to get the bench mounted and my art back up and tools laid out to WORK on my truck!

Eat tacos while you watch them, that will straighten them right out.

Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3
Went to a car show a few weeks back and got my truck picked up for a blog post by Champion Cooling which I thought was pretty neat.

Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3
The 8" dual diaphragm booster I ordered from Summit showed up yesterday, so I mocked up the new master cylinder on the booster. The adjustable pushrod coming out of the booster was too long, even after removing the jam nut and screwing the tip all the way in. The manufacturers tech guy was worthless so I sourced the right size metric bolt and made a new tip.
I got the booster swapped out, bench bled the master cylinder and put it on. After getting the lines connected I called it a night, the rest of the stuff can wait til the weekend. It's supposed to rain all the way into next week... |

Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3
Thanks Mark.
I still have a lot of work to do in the cab. Also I’ve been picking out some of the detail work you’ve done on your truck to incorporate. These things are never really done, but I think I like it that way. John

Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3
I know it's not on the truck, I have a lot of nerve posting anything if it isn't THE TRUCK, but I got this clock up in my garage.
I am just trying to get out there every day getting that garage back in working order. After a days work getting up earlier than I ever have for work, and coming home to a cold garage (soon to get WAY colder) I am ok with getting anything done out there. I got this clock 35 years ago when I had my body shop and bought my MIG welder from the Snap On guy. It was about twice as much as I could have gotten another but he financed it, that made all the difference! And it changed my world, wow, I wish I had kept it but got so overwhelmed with the move and boxing up my life I gave it to my nephew. Now I am going to have to go out and buy another. Anyway, hanging this clock wasn't easy. I had to change everything to make it safer to put over the door way like that. But another thing is done! Brian

Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3
hey - im glad Brian is back posting stuff. even if it isn't exactly about his truck. after all, we all need a great place to work on our toys. I'm not really looking forward to our move and setting up a new shop, but in the end it will be worth it.
