I pm jeff last week I am still waiting for a total price for a complete front and rear kit...

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild

Your truck was really nice to begin with but I love some of the touches you're adding to it. Sometimes its funner to bite off smaller pieces rather than getting into a complete rebuild... It looks like you're having fun with it. Keep up the good work.

White - brown... What does it matter as long as they're bringing truck parts to your door.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild

I always thought the limited slip rear ends were the peg legged ones and posi was twin stripes? Am I confused or am I missing something? Don't know too much about rear ends or is it open differential that is peg legged? If so what is limited slip?

peg legged = open differential.......

limited slip = two pin stripes

posi = two pin stripes

Ah, alright. Thanks for the info! What's the difference between a limited slip and a posi?

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild

Well the day started awesome got to drive my bucket to work, cringing with all the idiot drivers around my area but i made it to the shop safe and sound. We took the differential out, press the new bearings, set the the aurburn unit and I am ready to hit the pavement. New axle seals and bearings everything is all new back there so I am done with this part of the project.

Thats what I am hoping for CPPJEFF has posted some great deals in the suspension forum. I am going to be doing my research to do my big brake kit as this is probably the last thing I am going to do to this truck for now.

Al... cute helper!

What kind of weight are you planning on pulling with the truck? I've always been curious how well a 67-72 SWB would tow.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild

this has always been one of my favorite trucks on this site. You for sure took it to the next level the last few weeks. Love the look with the window tint.

I remember when i went from a one wheel peel to a posi..... night and day difference.

Keep up the awesome work.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild

Just to correct something, Limited slip is capable of leaving two stripsn not always. but a posi always does, unless turning then sometimes.

I thought you were selling it but glad your not. Still looks killer man.
