Re: '72 Chevy SWB, Project Driver
That sounds kinda crappy. All somebody has to do is switch parts and boxes then who knows what spindle you've got.

Re: '72 Chevy SWB, Project Driver
Man, I hope you got the right parts this time from CPP. Sorry to hear about all the trouble. I've had pretty good luck with them.(never had to return anything yet).
Sounds like you have your hands full with the foreign project. Hey, quick question: What size is this hole saw? Anything special about the drilling? Thanks ![]() |

Re: '72 Chevy SWB, Project Driver
Thanks Mike.
Update, Been driving it just about every day. Rebuilt the rear suspension with poly bushings and KYB Excel-G shocks. Also stitch welded the trailing arms together to stiffen them and keep them from coming apart. Really need an alignment and find my squeak that sounds like the fan belt, but isn't... Pics later. |

Re: '72 Chevy SWB, Project Driver
Interested in a front sway bar. Does it make a big difference? Also did you have to drill the holes in the lower control arms?
Thanks |

Swaybar is a CPP 1.25" bar. It made a huge difference and install wasn't bad. The end links use one of the factory sway bar mount holes. They include a ~1.25" spacer for the end links, but with it installed the end links hit the tie rods. Threw the spacer out and cut a few more threads on the end link bolts so I could tighten them. You also need to knock out the two rivets that hold the front frame crossmember in to be able to bolt the brackets in. |
