Today was a lazy day. All I did today was install the new E brake cable and sand and paint the pieces around the head lights. I ahve two sets so I painted one set orange and the other black. Maybe later I might get some crome one's. I will see.
Then I started to build my trusses for the roon extention. Got one done. Hurt my back so I stopped untill it means.

Yeah a Parking brake is the very first thing im going to be doing as soon as we get some nice weather so I can get rid of the blocks thats keeping it from rolling right now LOL

yea I guess it does get cold there. in Jan. I remember how cold it was in Ft learnard wood, Mo. and that is next to you across the river. Kas city, Mo and Kas city, Kas. Anyway keep up the good work and I will be watching you. Gdavis from Homosassa, Fl.

My back feels a lot better now. So Monday I will finshed the trusses for my shop. My cash is a stand still until the end of Feb. Maybe the Easter bunny will come early. My next step is getting the brake lines run to the back of the truck and to each wheel. also the slave cly. on the rear and brakes shoes. My drums will cost $8.00 each to turn. They were new when the previous owner parked the 72. He said he just finshed doing a brake job. But I want new cly. on the rear and on the front new disk calpers.

If the front calipers are frozen when you try and pressurize them dont sweat it you can go down to the auto parts store and exchange them for rebuilt ones for about $20 apiece.

yea the front calipers will have to be replaced. They are foze up and the bleeder valve is stripe. So I will get a new rebuilt set fron Auto Zone.

Today I just worked on my shop. I built the last truss and mounted them on my new extention. So tomorrow I will finsh the roof.

I finshed the roof today an now the outer walls are next.

Today I took apart the dash board and I wanted to see what parts I will be in need of. A new dash bezel and a few gages and a circut board. i painted the bezel and i don't like the way it turned out.

So i am going to order a new one. Antway that is all i did on my truck today.

Nothing to report on my truck today. done more cleaning up and painting and storage of parts.

Today, I took apart the colum. My shaft got bent when I took the cab off. I am replaceing the shaft. I have one question. Can I use the same colum that came with the truck? It was only for a 2 speed transmission though. I have a three speed. What parts will I need to change it over to a three speed colum? or would it be better to buy another colum?

Today, I put together the front endof the 72 frame. I need a rolling chassis to remove my cab and install it on my 68 frame. I had a pair of 68 ball joints that the Auto Zone would not take back. So I used them. I don't know what I am going to do with the 72 frame at this time. My body guy is coming over some time this week to take a look at the work I need to get done. Also I am using the Mothr-in-law cottage to store my painted parts.

no my wife does not know where in the cottage I am storing these parts. I keep it locked. But, one day she will go in and I will have to pay the piper.

Atleast they are clean and painted, not greasy and rusty, so she doesnt have much to complain about really.

Yea you would think so. My wife would complain if I hung her with a new rope. She thinks that my work area is a eye sore.

Thank you so much I do try. I somtimes do it twice before I get it right. But in the end it is going to be fine. Good luck and I do enjoy comments from you guys on my build. Keep working my friend.

Guys: If you have noticed that I put the lower A frame arms on the wrong side. I had the shock brackets on the front. It would be impossible to mount the shocks. It's not like I have not done this before. I can almost do it blind folded. So today I took it apart and switched the lower A frams arms. And also installed the steering linkage on the same truck. Now I have 4 wheels to get tires for and I will have a second rolling chassis. Everything is working like it should.

Today I was looking at the truck and I found one of my welds that I was so pround of on the roof, gave way. Now I have to reweld it and this time do it right. Someone put a hole in te middle of the roof. I guess it was for a radio or a CB.

I also have a hole in my roof that needs patched that a previous owner put there too. Must have been a trend.
