Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

I was looking at the same thing, that's a big chunk to bite off to purchase a set. I just sent you a PM, but I could help re-coup some of those costs by purchasing your gently used trim for a DD that I'm building this summer.

Well not to be picky, but the passenger side fender piece doesn't fit perfect. It takes some force to make fit. I emailed Mar-k about it and they said the following.

"This is due to an inconsistency in our tooling, so unfortunately it is not something we can easily change.

In order to fit the moulding more easily, our engineer suggested:

1.Start with the center screw at the top of the wheel opening, as it is not slotted.
2.Then begin attaching at the back of the wheel opening and working your way to the front.*

You will have to press hard to make it fit, but it should be a little easier and help avoid damage to your moulding if you proceed in this manner."

I am still overall happy with their product though.

Yes, fit good. I quickly just test fit everything when I got my order in because I was curious if it fit as well as everybody says. I'll give them a 99%

A few pics of the moldings..
I was going to say check out Bowtie's thread, but turns out that he went out and bought new moulding too. Maybe he got a deal?
