Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
I saw in one of the magazines some one is making these 19.5s in aluminum rims for 8 bolt pickups. Had dually and single wheels

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
This is my truck. found this site while looking for crewcab shortbed pics. looks like my truck got here two years before me! Its a 88 v30 that I shortened the bed and frame on 28 inches. it runs a cab and chassis rear, and d60 front with a spacer that comes off and goes on the rear so it can be single or dual wheel. I have a 95 cummins in it with a nv4500 and 205. I have several sets of the p30 rims, but haven't run them on the truck in a year or two. heres some more pics. first is with the wheels painted dark. and heres a single wheel pic. its current status is wrecked, and going in my shop this coming week to get rebuilt. I have a new 2wd frame that I'm gonna swap it onto, and cut it down for a standard shortbed this time. nothing wrong with the cab or bed, but I want to change it up while I have it all apart. no idea what I'm going to do with the shortened bed once I take it off. wheel spacing is all wrong for a trailer! heres a link to the original build. http://www.wheelindixie.com/forums/s...ect-TowMissile Hope its alright to link to another website. |

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
Engine is from a wrecked CaseIH sprayer that was hit by a train.
A few of the mods, bored to 6.2L low compression pistons, girdled bottom, arp studded top and bottom, fireringed head, valve job, built up injection pump, .093 stainless lines, 7x14 Sac injectors, s474 over phatshaft 62.. and many more little things. It should have a little more than stock hp : ) |

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
hey v30crewcab, I NEED more information on those wheel spacers! I've got a cab & chassis dually pickup too, and I'm torn between running dual wheels with little weenie tires, and fitting some big tires under it. I am almost at the point of swapping the rear axle out of it.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
I think they are 3.5" thick ones. I will try to get a measurement on them today. I am getting an 03 disk brake rear this coming week to run, so I'm not gonna use them anymore. I don't run the duals on it anymore and I want factory disk.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
So, did all the crewcabs have the chrome trim above the doors, or did some come without it? I'm thinking of removing mine and welding up the holes when I repaint it here soon. whatcha think?

Eric28miller, sweet build! Did you put an aftermarket cam in your engine or is it a stock one? Very nice work!

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
It looks good with the drip rails shaved but they are their for a reason. I removed them from my burb to see how it was. When it rained hard the water would poor straight down on me and soaked me when I opened the door. I have also heard if your seals are worn out it will leak when the doors are closed too. I would not advise anyone that is in a area that rains a lot to remove them.
