Just plug it for now? The way I see it with mine....I'm to the point of "lets just get it going...I can always upgrade later"!

The big diesels i work on use them. But at work they have gaskets with them. I have to get colleters welded on any way may as well get nice ones that wont leak as often.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
He asked if it was a gauge or not. So i think it may work. The oil psi sensor was also a swithc but it is the one for a gauge. It should work....

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
I got to install my plug wires today and man oh man i am happy. I have actually lost sleep worrieing if they would hit the headers or not. And they dont. I also test fitted the block off plates and drilled holes for fuel pump and regulater today. Not exactly how i wanted it to look but it is going to work fine i think.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
Got my oil cooler bypass cover today. Got donated from a fellow swaper. Just need oil and coolant adapters and hose reducer so i can run steem line to my rad to put it where the factory heater hose goes. Need to find a reducer.. Think it is half inch line that the heater uses.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
Saw a good trick on Extreme 4X4 over the weekend (2010 Episode 22 on the website) Host is putting a 6.0 in his buggy.
Because the radiator is going in the rear, he drilled and taped the thermostat housing to except the steam port. He also did a 180 on the intake to put the throttle body and air clearner in the cab (the intake is not indexed like conventional intakes).

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
I am using it to put the steam port to the rad heater core return on the rad. No not going to screw it in. I plan to remove most of the exposed pipe thread and slip hose over the end and put the clamp on the part with no threads. Should work tell i find nicer way.

hey....any chic that can "build" your chassis for you and then load it up with a drivetrain and more is a keeper....and she was a looker to boot. She ought to have her own show!

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
My wife pretty much put her old truck together. She used to even do her own tuneups and breaks and such. This is her truck when i first met her. We dropped it in front a nother 1 inch and put primered 15x8 with like a 255/55 tire and in rear lowered 2 or so more but put 275/75s on 15x10s for a prostreet kind of look. I lowered that truck 3 time or so.
