Re: No Limit's "K-10"

Yes, the dash is wierd. Two big guages, and three warning lights front and center. The rest of the guages will be in the center console. The steering column parts came fromFlaming River and Speedway. It lays in WAY different than a nomal C-10.

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

1. for the floor mount/lower column bearing, i fit a small peice of tube with a 3/4" I.D. spherical bearing. this solved two problems at once. 2. a shot of the wheel and tire in the reshaped fender. this is at ride height. 3. in the passenger side foot well there was enough room for the ECU.

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

1. looking at the passenger side footwell with the cover in place. yes, I have a small gap to fill, that will be a lot easier when the mock up motor is out. 2. from the front you can see the two bars I added to brace the front inner fenders. they're light, 1" x .065" tube 3. remember when I said that Owen was going crazy on the inside of the hood?

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

1. This is in the back of the truck. I was all proud of the inlet/outlet tubing, - then i talked to Meziere about a pump, and now I have to do it over. 2. The radiator was the whole reasone for the goofy tailgate. 3. inset into the bedsides, this is the begining of the frame for the hard cover. Aluminum 1" x .090", the frame and hinges weighs 16 lbs.

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

FINALLY!!! It's really sitting on skates, but it is at ride height. It looks totallt different down on the ground. with the seats in, getting in is like getting in a 'vette. you step down and in. I was worried about some of the rear weight being too high, like the tank and rad., but not any more. The proportions look good. we set on a stock winshield for a look, looks like an easy 2" cut. The front roll pan is from Mar-K. I think I need to make a splitter. The bottom of the rockers is at 5 1/2" off the ground, even with all of the lower tubes. Ground clearance is good. OK, I'll admit it, this thing looks a lot more bad ass than I thought it would.

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

Oh man, that is freaking awesome! Great work Rob and crew! One quick question for you. Are you going to finish weld all the areas that have multiple tack welds, or is this another way to save weight? Nice work, I love the stance ot the truck!

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

Looks great all together. Maybe I just found plans for that other blazer project I have sitting at the farm. Splicing a cab roof and back wall into it seems doable. Then take the info you passed on in the "make it handle" and "no limit C-10" threads and I've got a rockstar trazer.

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

Thanks for the support. Now, as I start to take it apart one more time, we go through and finish each section and part. We won't be fully welding everything, all of the tubing and intersections will be welded, but a lot of the sheet metal will stay tacked at the seams, it's plenty stromg, and doesn't rattle. I went through the books last night, and money wise we're just under 8k - not counting the wheels (I have about 800 in the wheels so far) The biggest $$ spent was the rear axle. The shocker was the hour count, at a bit over 400 hrs so far. As we close up on the fab work and go to paint and powder the hour count will slow up a bit, but the $$ will start to flow. We have about a month to hit our goal, and we're behind the ball, I hope we make it. It may be a week before there are more picts.
