Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy

Yes it is a 2000 silverado seat. I bought a wrecked truck and I am using the motor, trans, and the bucket seats. I was going to use a middle jump seat out of another truck but is was a little wider than I liked. The console will fit just fine. The jump seat was about 3 inches wider.

Oh well if it was easy everybody would do it.
i had a guy come apply for a job at the shop, he was supposed to be a body man. he said that its all about the prep and a monkey can be trained to paint. being the painter here, i told him that he probably wouldn't want a monkey for a boss and i showed him to the door.
painting ain't all that easy... there's a million ways to screw up and only one right. your work looks pretty darn right to me.

Thanks Clem. That's a funny story. I have to make sure every thing is just right and take my time or I will mess up. Just when I think I am about to get it something like this happens. The door has a few more runs in it and I hope I can sand them out without sanding through the clear. If I do I can just shoot it again.

Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy

Nice job on the paint. I had to do all mine the same. One part at a time. But just down to the bed being left. Keep up the updates and great paint!!!

Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy

Maybe tomorrow I can get drivers door and fender on for good. I need a new gasket for my back window. The one I have is an universal and does not fit well. Does any body have a suggestion on what one to use?
