Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
I always put the level on the floor of the coach. I don’t trust that a countertop is level . Just something I’ve alway done

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
Too true. We took the new (to us) motorhome out a few weeks ago, used a can of corn or some such, to see which way it rolled. Put blocking under the low side before we extended the slide-out. It ended up out of level. I learned for next time. The slide-out changes the level by about 1-1/2 inches, more or less. Not bad out of level, really. Fortunately, it made my feet below my head by that amount. Don't need a swelled head.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
I'm no expert but that's where the sink is, drains and all
carpet, linoleum, underlayment, etc. aren't as consistently flat as formica, corian, etc. in a house anyway, wouldn't expect flooring to be any flatter in a 20yo motorhome either way, as long as I don't spill my beer or fall out of bed I don't really care ********* yesterday the good Lord was smiling on us though! along about nowhere kansas we lost the left inner inner dual limped onto the shoulder, and an exit was just 2 miles down grainfield kansas now of course I have a spare, tools, etc. but if I can hire a little help - why not? first place we spot is a gas station with a service garage, walked inside, didn't have the time of day for us spotted a small truck shop across the street and they were happy to help so I asked how far to a town that might have a pair of tires (always best to replace both duals after running one flat) "oh, just down there by the grain elevators, grey building on the left at the stop sign" really? ok, so off we go, limped it over to Jack's Automotive Repair and Towing (Napa store too) nicest folks you could ever meet, three generation business, had a new pair of good tires, and willing get on right away went to their local market for a few grocery items while we waited - nice little town! when he was finished, he even asked me to spin around town and stop back for re-torque! definitely recommend! and later, about 30 minutes from the farm on i70, near missed an accident right in front of us thankfully just squeezed by, mostly on the shoulder but kept control and got back up on the road Mrs. Bee was concerned so she ran back to help with a first aid kit driver wandered off but passenger's foot went through the windshield Mrs. Bee wrapped her up and got her out of the car, it was smoking and really hammered FD showed up, took the injured gal into an ambulance, shut down the freeway, and we split thank goodness we were passed it! two events could have been really bad, we just climbed the rocky mountains and the tire blows on ruler flat kansas then those two new duals went off pavement when I narrowly missed the accident and kept the shiny side up!

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
More interesting than left CA, drove RV to MO. I always look for that silver lining and it's always there somewhere. Doing that enriches or lives. You got to experience rural Kansas (people) while others blasted on by bored by the interstate.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
this car is like the energizer bunny of throwing oil...it just keeps going and going.....
you would think the oil light or check engine would have come on by now... he gave it a good run wit no oil, prob made it down the road 'bout 1/2 a mile contact point. prob bounced the oil pan into this rock going thru the cross ditch too fast... actually surprised he made it thru this 2 ft deep cross ditch earlier without hanging up......... |

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
Out there in Driesville you need to build your shade. A simple carport. All the nice rust free 67-72s I've bought out of the arid S/W have had the woodgrain trim on one side burned off and the other side looked great. I figure parked under a carport with faded side facing west or south. Sun all day or late day heat and lower sun angle

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
The coran may be flat but in my motorhome when its level the countertop is pitched towards the wall to keep any spills from going to the front and running g down the cabinets. It has the automatic hydrolic leveling Jack's but I always check it with the bubble level but it's not all the critical. It's like horse shoes and handgranades close is good enough

Very cool lettering and pinstripe. Even the Detroit got some attention. Let's see some pics of the whole rig.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
yesterday after a few errands in town,i rolled through the Joggins Fossil Center as i usually do,it's just around the corner from home.i like taking a buzz through the parking lot to look at license plates.it's pretty cool to see plates from all over North America.i came across these 2 rigs yesterday, one from California and the other from South Dakota(might've been North, not sure.i could only see the small plate on the trailer,i guess my old eyes aren't what they used to be?)they looked like they were loaded for just about any hazard or hardship that could possibly come their way or an assault on Mt Everest when they left here.they had stuff packed in like peas in a pod.very cool.
