Yep its an R20. Can't wait to get home and start getting this thing looking good again. It's going to be a DD so the progress is going to be slow.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

1973 3+3 camper special i picked up yesterday for $950. 454, 540 Allison automatic, minimal rust, plan is to turn it into a nice tow rig for my pulling tractor.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Any idea what this truck would be worth?
1990 2wd 6.2 t400 2 owner, has zero rust, 130K on truck 10k on new topend. has aftermarket (banks?) turbo kit has original wheels and tires that go with it.
he is asking $12500I know the 24s are close to 5-6k with tires

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

I'm sorry, but those wheels and tires are hideous!! Talk about pimp my ride! Does it have a chocolate fountain in the back and a movie screen under the hood? Otherwise, it's a bad a$$ truck. I'd make the seller put the stockers back on it before I even drove it home tho. Sad, but you probably could sell the wheels and tires.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Yes the wheels are a bit much, but without them what's it worth? When I look it up on NADA, it takes 20% off for being a oil burner, I am guessing the 454 is the preferred setup.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Hey guys, from Australia here, most folks here call me Angry

Picked up this little beauty on the weekend as a tow vehicle for our shop. she's a 81 GMC Sierra 3+3 Camper special, converted to RHD, 454, T400, on gas (propane) dually. Interior is in decent nick, both bench seat front and rear, bodys got a little bit of cancer but nothing that isn't fixable. Paints quite faded, will be giving her a respray, most likely in John Deere Blitz Black, paint the wheels a nice deep red with some pinstriping here and there. Quite a rare truck for over here and certainly a lot bigger than our local utes.

Welcome! I really dig the silver and blue on your truck but you certainly can't go wrong with the flat black/red wheel combo either. That heavy metal must get a lot of looks over in Oz!
