Re: Thelonerifes 72 stepper

I scored on ebay some 2'' lowering springs. I got them for 99 cents and 10 shipping. I will use these with my 2'' lowering blocks for a 4'' drop. I also got some trailing arm bushing for 99 cents and 5 shipping. I need to get an adjustable trailing arm too.

I'll put the springs on when I get the trailing arm.

Re: Thelonerifes 72 stepper

I cleaned some paint off of the intake lettering so you can tell what kind it is. Like I tell my son if you pay 30.00 for a t-shirt at American Eagle it should at least say it on the shirt somewhere.
I still have to clean it up a little. I picked up a carb from Justin (puppy) today and I'll need to get a gasket for it to set on.I also need to get that gasket making stuff I saw Woody use on Dawns intake. The carb is a 1406 and the intake is a 2701.

you did a great job painting it. I just want to see the lettering. Its a good contrast the aluminum and gray. I'm going to leave it that color.

Re: Thelonerifes 72 stepper

I got the intake and carb on. It took a little more money for additional stuff that I wasn't expecting to have to get but its on. I don't like using rubber lines for fuel lines but I had to until I find something better. They are wrapped in that steel braid But I don't know if its just for looks or if it has some purpose. It runs a lot better and the motor doesn't seem to shake as much.

Looks good Chuck!!!! You need to bring it over to the Cruise-In tonight. We're doing a cancer benefit for a two year old little girl that has cancer. It's going to be huge tonight.

I want to drive it more locally for a while before I hit the interstate. I also need tires on the front and an alignment.

This is what happens when you get your tires from the salvage yard and buy new ones for everyone else.

Re: Thelonerifes 72 stepper

well now I'm glad you didn't come over to the cruise-in on Saturday or that would have happened on the way over. Now you can come over Saturday because you have dependable rubber.

I missed this post earlier...I've gotten deals like that in the past, most of the time they were under the wrong section...how did you find that w/out another one of us from the site jumping on it?

I have set up about 25 search engines for Ebay that give me daily reports of new items related to our trucks that I am looking for for my truck or to flip to pay for other parts and that never showed up either???

Re: Thelonerifes 72 stepper

I guess its a good thing I didn't come Bryan. And my water neck is seeping a little too. So I'll have to redo that. I hate leaks!

I guess I lucked up on the springs or maybe everybody thought that 2'' wasn't worth fooling with. I may go deeper in the future if they don't drop it enough.I scored a pan. bar too. just waiting for it to come in. Its a regular adj. one. If I go deeper I'll get that super tracker.

Re: Thelonerifes 72 stepper

Hey Chuck,

My Tstat-housing leaked too....try a Fel-Pro Perma-dry Plus gasket...it's silicone and needs no sealer and it's reuseable....I think it's like $8 at Autozone....
