Re: Project Roxy

I just did a quick measurement of the hub portion of the axle and it's 3.5" so it's not off by much.. Maybe a 1/16th of an inch

Re: Project Roxy

Thanks for the clarification. That's why I went with the larger center bore.

Not a great pic. It's hard to get a good angle on it, but you get the point

I love the new wheels. Can you go into detail about the fix on the center bore?

Sure. From being involved in the mini truck scene and from a friend I knew that you could use a rabbet router bit to increase the bore size. I've seen it done on caddy and chevy 20" factory wheels to fit Nissan and Mazda trucks.

I had a few router bits and bought a set of guide bearings. I ended up using a flush trim router bit with a guide bit that was 1/16" - 1/8" smaller. ( I knew in my scenario I didn't have to remove much material). I set the depth of the router at about 1/4". Then, I took a deep breath and started cutting. Each wheel took less then 10 mins.

There are some YouTube videos on the process. I know there are some S10guys that have used this process to fit 2010-2013 camaro wheels on their trucks.

Re: Project Roxy

And my worst case scenario was to demount the tires and bring the wheels to a friend that has a CNC machine. However, he would have charged me $300-$500. That was my last resort option.
