Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I spent $5 on black Gorrilla tape. I put the tape in the lower trim all the way around the truck (with a little trimming). It looks worlds better than the heavily faded woodgrain that was in the trim.
This is my temporary fix until I finally save enough money to have the truck repainted and get new trim. |

bought set of wheels and tires off of 06 vette. Now just have to buy adaptors to bolt onto truck and get some motivation to work on it.

Funny enough the guy that helped me pull it gladly handed over $300 for it. Now to put this in.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Replaced the rear brake hose and one front brake hose- then had the wife help me bleed em out. First time I have ever done anything like that with brakes- took the new project for a spin afterwards- clutch a little stiff now- guess I need to bleed it out too- but man I had fun wrenchin on it. Now gotta get a new carb- the ole factory 2jet needs rebuilding so I think I am gonna find a four barrel intake and order a new edelbrock 600 cfm for it. Just havin fun tinkering with it til I collect enough parts to start the tear down and restoration of Ole Blue!

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Thank you! They are actually new rally rims from Wheel Vintiques with '67 Corvette centercaps with "Disc Brake" on them. All four rims are 15X7 with 5 on 5 bolt pattern, the rear tires are 275/60-15 and the fronts are 215/65-15.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
went to pick up the diff cover gasket today, wrong one of course? decided i would go ahead and install the new grant steering wheel. what a pain in the rear! this was not the first one i have ever installed and today i was reminded how crappy the installation is on these wheels, especially the horn button and contact. i finally got it but geesh. it looks alright but i think this will be the last one i buy.
