Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Saved the piece of windshield trim that had stalled the project. Made my day.

Ugggh, sanding the rust off the frame. Nothing like working in rust dust clouds. This step can't get over with fast enough for me.

That's why I love two things in the world today. Harbor Freight and their cheap sand blaster!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Had my MT valve covers drilled for the oil cap and PCV valve, custom made brackets for my truck bed storage box, engine bay is just about complete with fresh paint and I took it for a ride and it did not over heat. Was also given a steering column to swap out in the near future. With a couple of good days of weather I just might be able to tie up some loose ends and get some engine bay photos...Found a guy parting out a similar truck and I want to go strip it this weekend.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Ordered the tires and wheels today... they'll be ready for pickup in another week and a half or so.
Got the motor and tranny installed in the frame and the cab set on too.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
That looks great. It's those tiny improvements that add up to make a big difference.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Sprayed it down to wash all the pollen off. I should have painted it yellow instead of black!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
While I am waiting for my new rad to arrive did some cleaning, and de-greasing under the hood. Also cleaned up and painted the hood latch and top rad brackets and alternator bracket.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Not getting much done on the 'burb, been delayed at the blasters'-getting the body cleaned up. So in the meantime, been working on the other one. Got the door jambs and interior painted on her F**d. Also attempted my first custom padded dash. Will finish the paint on it this week, then hopefully have the Burb back by then.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
New valve covers are on, tool box bolted into the bed, cleaning up a new offroad bumper and installing today...Getting ready to head out to the boonies to part out a 65' for all the missing parts I want. Feels like a treasure hunt. Plus we have several days of decent weather with no rain. This should be a good run of productivity.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Made a Junkyard run first thing today, found the radiator support braces I needed, and located a Stepside fender to replace the Factory one with the spare tire cutout. Got to see lots of 60-66 trucks in various states of disassembly... Gotta love rambling around junkyards with a wide variety of vehicles. Spotted a 64 Impala propped up on wheels sporting a near perfect front bumper. This place appears to be my new favorite playground.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Mocked up the wheels to get an idea of how it will look. Still have to make the right rear caliper bracket and finish the wheel tubs.
