The only pics are of the primer, too foggy in the "booth" to get new pics of the chassis black.

Check back tomorrow.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Its always great working on a nice clean frame. You are not going to want to put on any old dirty parts, or that could just be me. I always have to put in new bolts, and they seem to always be the gold colored ones.

Looking good, and it looks like you bought your booth at the same place I buy mine from. They work well, but when you use a real booth, its tough to go back.

Satin Chassis Black by Eastwood.

Next we will be sandblasting the bottom of the bed, inside of bed, and priming/painting both.

You make it look so easy. I find myself reading your build instead of building mine. LOL Great job.

I do that myself on occasion, and then I'm mad at myself for wasting time. It's not really wasting time, more like research to get new ideas or see how its done. I will say also, it sure is nice to have roomy place to work and the right tool for the job at hand. Keeping the frustration low keeps you on task and motivated more. I am very blessed.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Working on getting my high hump installed. Does anybody know how the factory cut out the low hump? Is there an indentation of where to cut? I'd like it to look factory.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Don't quote me but can you place the high hump over the low hump and trace the perimeter? may help to draw a line around the edge then scale inward the width of the flange?

I'm sure I can do it, I was just wondering how the factory did it.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

My old high hump truck looked like they punched the hole out when the floor was stamped. The cut was very clean and uniform. The square receiver nuts were spot welded in place on the floor pan.

I am considering using nutplates instead of welded in place fasteners on my 69 C20 high hump conversion since the bead of seam sealer will make up for the thickness of the cage and the hole can be oversize a little to allow for some margin of error on installation.
