Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
yes , the carpet will be gold , there will be a darker (bomber jacket color leather, with fat gold double stitching) and then the inserts on the seats will be very unique with gold accents in them ! The bed wood will be mostly clear with a goldish tint to it

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
I like gold on these trucks but on the browns and whites!!! I really like the rendering that was done of this truck with the black in the trim and the red emblem... It's gonna be awesome no matter what you pick though mike!!

Mike, I think the gold looks fine. I agree with you, that red emblem really sticks out on the light blue. I think you made the right call....Jim

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
stick to your plan , red its not ugly, on the otherhand it will stick out on your paint choice, so i think gold will flow with your color and interior better than red or black for that matter

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
Seeing the gold with no other accents, is like looking at a paint chip at home depot. Right now it stands out like a turd in a punch bowl, but it will blend in quite well when there is more goldish tones added. Standing back and seeing the whole picture, the stripe will all but dissappear.
I love it... for what my opinion is worth. |

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
I think the gold looks good. Not sure about the clips... Try Rick @chevymetal 360-609-4911. I don't know if he has them or not. Later

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
Go for the GOLD! Man, it works. Not something I think I would have the 'nads to do, but it's exactly how I envisioned it in my mind. Run with it dude-- sometimes being different is a good thing-- really makes your truck stand out as being different and custom, while still managing to be subtle. Perfect mod, IMHO...
Now, the AF bomber jacket leather, I dunno. I think it may clash, but I'd have to see a sample of the color you plan on running. Will the interior be body color, or something else?
