I think I'm going to just tap a vein or artery and see how far I get.

You wanna talk about a SOAP BOX. I think we should try and design a new type of fuel and then pull all the SLODIERS out of iraq and just let them have it. let them sell their precious oil to some of them other countries that dont have the amount of drivers or demands for oil as AMERICA does. Maybe then they will appreciate why the SOLDIERS were sent over there in the first place, TO MAKE THEIR FREEDOM. Them middle easterns sure seem ungrateful. we got rid of sadam and now they wanna support a clerak (sp) that looks to me will be twice as bad as sadam. Dont get me worng I have supported BUSH all along and will continue to support him, what are we fighting for over there now, if the people over there are wanting to support this new clerak (sp).
Ok , i stepped down, I know this started out as a post for the gas prices but the blame for the prices are ultimately to blame for whats going on over there. This is my opinion and necessarily the opinion of the broadcast co.

i am looking for a diesel right now. i am actually planning to convert it to a 'greasecar' (http://greasecar.com). i actually have talked to a few people who are doing this and i am pretty impressed with how well their cars run. the people i have met are driving a vw & a mercedes, but i saw this profile and flipped http://greasecar.com/profile.cfm?profileID=4 . heheh
driving for free for a few hundred bucks in mods. there is a ton of info online as i am finding and a book out called from the frying pan to the fuel tank.

i too am considering diesel, but it didnt start out having anything to do with gas prices. when we went and picked up my K10 last February, on the trip we averaged 15 mpg, never putting it in OD. total fuel cost for that trip, $40. i took my uncle's '99 F150 gasser to pick up the K30 2 weeks ago. i know, heavier truck to start with, but with no bed, and no "extra parts" weight should have been close. i didnt bother to figure milage on that trip, i knew it was going to be bad. total fuel cost for that trip, $80+. and the diesel had more cajones all around. i'm really not seeing a down side to a diesel truck.

If I ever get a new truck I'll get a diesel. that way I have one of each and whatever's cheaper then I drive it.
I'm paying $2.16 for 93 here It sucks having to use the high octane and cost almost for one tank what I could get for two tanks |

BIO DIESEL!!!
I know people who make the own gas for .35 cents a gallon. I've posted this before... but it seems that nobody was interested till the gas prices got to 2 bucks a gallon. The website to answer all your questions is : http://biodiesel.infopop.cc/6/ubb.x?a=cfrm&s=447609751 Only reason why I dont do it right now is cause I only drive 5 miles to work, and because I dont have a diesel yet......
