Yep, Tim tightened the valves back down before sealing them back up. The cam is the one that was in the engine when I bought it and it was in good shape so I re used it.
Still needs some adjustments on the carb done, maybe advance the timing a bit, and gotta get the choke figured out. We have it hooked up to a hot wire right from the fuse box to the choke itself but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I would like to thank all you guys that helped us out last night. It just re-enforces the reasons why we keep coming back to this board everyday. Some of us, a couple dozen times a day Now we gotta get the damn throttle cable thing figured out so it can be driven |

Yeah it nearly did drive me nuts, and I'm sure Randy wasn't to far behind. We were Pm'ing with him for a long time, troubleshooting. I gotta say another HUGE thanks out to Randy70C-10 for all his help on Saturday night. We couldn't have done it without your help. Now I just have to do the timing advance and find a throttle cable that will work for this application. Not having much luck with that yet. I ordered one for a 72 4x4 with a 350 but it was longer than the stock inline cable. Any suggestions??
