Yep,long hair, trapped by a "Man Eating Creeper" that sounds real familiar.I consider myself to be very blessed to be alive and well, after all the stupid/reckless things I have done,(Amazing). As a person with "Peter Pan Syndrome"(never wanted to "grow up"),I am trying to really shorten my learning curves, and at least not be such a fool!

One of the newer guys on the IH board just told us about his mishap with a motorcycle.
His head impacted a tree at 25mph without a helmet. The doctors didn't think he was even going to live, but apparently he's back in school and all (college), but had to go through rehab and has a lot harder time paying attention to stuff. |

Yea, back when I had hair, I got it caught in the creeper wheels. Did I see Dick Dale is on the board? Did you play surfer music back in the day?

One thing I forgot to add....never wear a new flannel coat while welding either. The "fuzz" that's on it will go up like a dry christmas tree. Pretty scary feeling....lol And never use an un-insulated long screwdriver while working on an industrial cooling compressor...480 volts will melt the screwdriver in half, and could kill you too, but I happened to be lucky.....

My worse was using a cheap 3 wheel engine stand, rolled it across the floor holding on to the crank pulley of the engine and it fell over onto the concrete and the crank pulley snapped the middle finger of my left hand off at the second knuckle from the end. I was in the Navy at the time and they did a heck of a job putting it back on. No more cheap engine stands for me...
Sometimes it amazes me that we live as long as we do... especially guys who mess with cars and trucks. Be safe, Rg

We Had This Dumb Guy At Work A While Back That Like To Some Around At Play With Your Tools. Well One Day I Had A Drill On The Table, And This Guy Just Sets Down And Puts The Drill Bit On His Crotch And Hits The Trigger On The Gun ,and That Drill Twist The Crotch Of His Jeans And He Was Trying To Hold That Drill From Going Around. Inever Forget The Look On His Face. Steve

1 More "Scarey Hair Tale" ?
Years ago (31)I was working at a chemical plant in N.J.(chaulking,spackling etc.).They had big mixing vats(6-8 ft.wide?)A young (18-21) coworker was leaning over scrapping some powder on the sides, down into the vat.As I watched from maybe 30 feet away, his long hair got caught in the big mixing paddle and wrapped up and into the vat of goo.Very fortunately I was able to run over to vat and shut it off.Another few seconds and he would have at least lost his leg(cut it )and or died.Same plant,I was driving a forklift , when a small air compressor blew(15-20 ft. away),the shaft of the motor did not miss me by much.It all makes me wonder, how and why I am still alive??? "Fools and Children"??? But Why ONLY Some Fools and Children???

Yeah, one more stupid mistake making person here. & of course, I knew better. Mine were luckily w/ a drill & wire brush though. Big difference. Repeat offender here.
But THANK GOD it didn't get caught up in my long hair.
