Thumbs up Welcome

Welcome from Colorado
You have got a pretty clean looking K5

I have to say that winch setup looks very clean. If it goes just think of me....lol

Now we need pic's of the motor. And you need a console.

Thanks Cethern been on e-bay looking at consoles for a couple of nights. I'll find one before we get it finished probably. As soon as I get a web photo hosting place I'll post some pics of motor. My dad came by and he likes winch too. Am wavering on whether it stays or goes. I LIKE chrome though. Hey where is the best place to get covers for front seats? Anybody?

Hey "the kidd" I see you have a 65 Impala as well, so maybe you know maybe you don't but a word of advice. Don't make the same mistake I did. I completely tore my 72 2wd blazer to the ground. I meant STRIPPED!!! I can't enjoy mine anymore and haven't driven it in 10 years. Be patient and make any mechanical modifications now while you drive it. Get it all lined out and body panels aligned and such and then take it apart and paint it and then put it right back together. I mean even do the body work as permitted as you drive it. I wish.....I would have done that with mine. I think I would have been done a lot sooner. And, I have been restoring cars and such for 18 years of my young adult life. Just my .02 cents.

No problem dude. If you knew my wife you would know this is a fix as you go project. She HATES to spend money. Kinda unusual huh? Kinda sexist remark huh? Anyway we hope to have it in good shape outside and in when my son turns 16, he just turned 13. So thanks for advice. Around here we always take things so. By the way it runs pretty well even without tags on it yet.

Welcome from Alabama.
I'll 2nd Tim for parts http://www.christiansclassics.com/
Main page has a list of venders.

Not sure about the guards, most I thought were mounted over the bumber bolts? Did not have a close up but croped this one, not head on but can see the space from the light to the guard is different.

Also before you put the $ out for a org console, may want to get some measurements. From the one Pic it looks like you have the Utility seats (metal back), which are wider than the blazer/pick up seat. Not positve but I do not think the console will fit or if it does will be tight? ? ? ?

You're lucky - 'cause the pamphlet says it will, "help keep the engine in tune longer." I guess I better get one quick! It's amazing the that they use in selling cars.

Welcome from another K5er! You know, this is going to cost you.... but it is fun.

Does anyone know if console has trouble with utility seats? I hadn't thought about it. PO had a wooden homemade box looked like a shoeshine kit sitting there. I know it will cost me some but I think in the long run it'll make me happy. She wouldn't let me have a motorcycle and with the money I saved from not buying an HD I can have a cool ride. I figure women can't tell how big you are sitting in this convertible can they?
