Veltex, First I'm glad to read that you are OK. Second if that happened to me I'm certain I and a few friends would be paying that person a visit. Wouldn't get my truck fixed but I sure would feel better.
As an aside note those dents on the rear of the cab might not be due to a bent frame. I had the same thing happen when I was rear ended 2 years ago. The cab bushings have enough flex in them to allow the cab to hit the bed. Best of luck with your parts search and I hope your holiday improves. |

Man that's a shame, such a great looking truck. I hope everyone is ok. Parts can be replaced, but people can not. I hope the rest of your x-mas a much better. Latter the cheese.

Wow, sorry about the truck!! Hopefully she'll be as good as new soon. I wish someone with good insurance would take out my 68....it'd give me a reason to get rid of her...

Wow, ouch. Sorry about the truck, man. Glad you are okay! It looks very close to mine, a light green 68 C20. You're in Idaho... I'm planning on moving there within the next couple of years. Hopefully we'll have both of our green C20's running around in great condition!

Bought a decent 68 front wrap last night off a Suburban, pretty complete and maybe a patch portion for the bed damage. Still have a long list of needs but its a start. Will post updates, thanks

so the repair of your truc is coming all out of your pocket? but at least it gives you an excuse to do a resto on the truck . Im in the process of bringing back my Monte Carlo after a head on collision, the frame was so bent that the driverside body tub was but in three inches, that was interesting getting everything re aligned

I feel your pain man.
I'm asuming you didn't carry uninsured motorist? (Manditory in some states) You oughta look into it if you don't have it. Your ins company would cough up some cash to you and then send some one to recoup the money from the dirt ball. |

it always has to be the good guy/nice truck that gets the short end of the deal. That really sucks man. sorry about the truck - but at least your ok and as some other board members said - the truck is fixable/replaceable - you are only somewhat "fixable" and definatly not replaceable - glad to know your are ok.
like longhorn said - some states have mandatory uninsured/underinsured motorist insurance coverage - but assuming you don't have that. did the A$$ hole even offer to pay you back for part at least? i'm sure there is a Police report for that big of an accident - anyway you can get a lawyer to attache a lien to his house or him?? i would just attach my fist to him (but that is J.M.H.O ) ehh violence won't solve any problems. - just trying to think of ideas to help get at least some of the money back for the damages - what are they doing about the fact that he has no license??? - who was the car even registered to - they could be held liable to (i work for an insurance company - so i know a little about how coverage works and all that good junk) - if you got any questions give me a PM
