I finished clearing about 5 of my 9 acres with a rented track hoe and helped a buddy of mine out with a load of firewood. Celebrated my baby boys fifth b'day and worked Sat and Sun nights.

I'm with ya on the flu road. Came home early Friday before lunch and have whined at the wife all weekend. I have not been outside since I came home. I stuck my head out the window once. I can't remember the last time I was sick, man this blows. I called in sick today too (Monday). Guess I shoud shave today, and maybe wash...I'm feelin' crusty.

Let me tell all of you why my weekend was worse than yours.
You've seen the picture below of how I move my cabs around. Well, I was setting the cab back onto my chassis with the tractor just like the picture below. I got out of the tractor to adjust one of the straps. My new little heeler puppy was in the tractor. He freaked out when I got out of the tractor and left him inside it. Yep, he jumped up on the seat to try and see where I was at and while doing this, he leaned against the "up-down" lever. The bucket went down and crushed the cab. The tractor mashed the cab down until it picked the front of the tractor all the way off of the ground. I couldn't run around and climb into the cab fast enough to stop it from happening. New puppy= need new cab now. Bad times for me.

We had the best weather ever for an early saturday in February, but the wife wanted to go shopping. I got new hockey skates (I'm just started skating last year at age 36). Anyway, took the family skating that evening. Sons hockey game on Sunday afternoon and then a very good Superbowl game. I love it when the games are close. But that last score of the Eagles lost me $100 on a numbers board. I still came out ahead by $10, big spender that I am.

68wsb406...LMAO...three colors of primer, three of blue, two of burgandy, one each of green, white and mettalic brown for a total of eleven! The original color was burgandy and the only pieces still left are the grille and the step fenders! I may be able to save the doors but we will see! The sheet metal has come from at least six different trucks! This is really a junyyard dog!

stllookn - Are you related to the Partridge family? Sounds like your truck would match there bus. LOL
Tx Firefighter - Sorry to hear about what happened. But ........I guess the new puppy didn't get any dog bones over the weekend? lol Talk about a Priceless moment! Shame no one had a video camera going. The look on your face had to be Priceless when you realized what was happening. lol I would be totally upset and PO'd if it happend to me. But I know I would have to laugh about it later when I started thinkin about how it had to look to someone else. If I had a spare cab, I'd let ya have it. But I'd still have to pet the puppy dog though. Will you be able to salvage much from the cab?

Tx, That really does suck!! I know you probably felt like crushing the puppy with the loader at that moment, but then you woulda been sitting around feeling bad about the puppy and the cab!!

Man, TX, sorry to hear that one. I'd have to agree though, we need to see pictures. As far as what I got done, I did a road trip to go hang out with some old college buddies, and fix up a nursery for a buddies first child. When I got home I drove the truck to another buddies for the Super Bowl. That was the furthest It's gone, and no problems. It did use 1/4 tank of gas though for the 50 mile round trip.

You guys don't know me too well. The puppy is 1/2 Australian Shepherd and 1/2 Blue Heeler. He's family to me. I couldn't be mad at him. He was feaking out that he couldn't see me ( I was on the other side of the truck cab and he couldn't see me through the windshield). There's o way I could get upset about the deal.
The cab needed rockers anyway, I really wanted a better cab, so here's motivation to get another one.

TX - Good thing you were not in the cab when that happened! That would have hit the news big time and it would not have been pretty. Distraught puppy crushes owner with frontend loader! The AP would have had a real fun with that story.

Neopolitan truck has four shades of blue...the brake drums are a different shade...so I guess there are really 12 colors! If I count the black POR15 on the cab and frame and the original interior color of the doors, "desert sand", it will be up to 14! I smell a board record here!

Well on Friday evening I took the grandkids to see the Strength Team at church.
Those guys are awesome!!! Two of them took regular hot water bottles and blew them up until they popped. I wish I'd had a video of that. They were as big as beachballs before they blew. They broke bricks and ripped up phone books, bent steel rods and cracked baseball bats by bending them over their legs. they would've came in handy ripping those rockers off Ha. The rest of the weekend I just hung around the house and lurked on the puter and watched the superbowl. I been real lucky not gettin the flu. I guess all those shots I got in the air guard are working, LOL. vettevet

OK Andy, you've already lost enough sleep over my comment.....the Longhorn isn't dead.... Here's a few pics to prove it.
I did kill the battery though. I pumped it up, hit the switch, it took right off and sputtered a little (no choke). I went to restart it, and that was it, no more juice, just barely enough to click the starter. We put it on the charger and let it go all night, and it didn't work, the battery was still dead yesterday.....so I didn't get to hear it with the headers and duals

Replaced the headlight bulbs and the vacuum hose for the choke pull off on the carb. It starts and runs much better now and I can see much better in the dark now.

me and my brother started stripping the truck to do the body and get it ready for paint. got tired of looking at the faded primer with spots of blue showing through and misaligned body panels. we got both doors fenders the hood the cowl and the inside of the cab stripped and ready for paint. i got most of the outside of the cab stripped dropped out one of the side gas tanks and got it outta the way. heres some pictures http://f1.pg.briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/...ase.yahoo.com/ now keep in mind when we started friday the truck was totally driveable and my daily driver
