I am probably going to go with either the truck or vette ralleys on my 69 step. I am wondering if there are other center caps that fit the truck ralleys besides the original caps? It would have to bolt on as the original ones or snap over the lugs like the later model ones I suppose.
What are the center cap options for the vette ralley besides the big derby?
It's time to make a decision.

You can go with either a pancake cap or a disk brake cap which isn't as big as a derby.

Front: wheels- Cragar SS, 17x8, 4.5" bs
tires- Nitto, 255/50 (outer tire rubs over big bumps, recommend 245)
drop- 3" drop spindles + cut springs = about 5"

Rear: wheels- Cragar SS, 17x9, 4.5" bs
tires- Nitto, 275/50
drop- 5" drop coils + .75" blocks = 5.75"

Exhaust rerouted to outside of frame since pics, going .5" lower this summer.

My dads old truck

Heres my Fathers old 1972 Cheyenne Super, he sold it back in 99'

If I remember correctly the truck had a 6/8 drop spindles & coil up front and coil for the rear. All I can really remember is that it had about 1.5-2" of clearance under the A-arms

It had Polished Torque Thrust D's
Front - 15x8 w/standard backspacing (I believe its 3 3/4") with 265/50's
Rear - 15x10 w/standard backspacing (I believe its 3 3/4") with 295/50's

Just in case anyone wants anymore pics find them here

The tires I want are Hoosier Quick Time DOT p245/60d-15 up front and p275/50d-15 in the rear with a 2 in coil drop in the front and 3 in coil drop in the rear. Will the tires rub the fenders?

Well, since my set up has changed, I thought I would post my truck here again. Look at my last post on this thread to see what it was like before... Now it has 15x8 ralleys and BFG Radial TA 255/70/15 on all four. Still set at stock height. My wife says its "sexy"

Waiting on your pics... I want to see what it looks like with 17's and 18's with a 4/6 drop.

Looks good.

Save the bricks and use extended shackles (1.5"-2.0"). Inexpensive and you will get a new bushing in the deal. Not only will it lower the rear but it should also ride better with teh new bushings.

I am glad to see your pics since I am trying to decide how to lower my leaf truck approximately 6". Drop leafs; drop mono leaf, standard curl; drop mono leaf, reverse curl; extended shackles; flip kit; c-notch, c-notch kit; rear shock relocators;...

How about dearched 3" or 4" and a 2" shackle ? Thats what I have done. Should be good While the springs are in the shop get new bushings installed.

Note.

2" drop shackles will not work with a wood floor. Thats why they make the 1.5" shackle.

Right now mine has the old tires on. My others are in storage while I get the shop set up ( just moved). But what goes on the truck are 17" ralleys with 335/35/17's in the rear with a 7 1/2-8" bs on an 11" rim. Up front they are 245/40/17's with a 4 1/2"bs on 9" rims if I remember right. The truck is bagged, body dropped 2", 3" drop spindles in the front and about 2" notch and 4" Z frame in the rear. The rockers sit about 5/8" off the floor and tires stuff up fully with about 1/4" femder to side wall gap.

Is a 275/60 the widest tire that can be put on a 15x8 rally?

It's the best looking tire IMO for a 8" Rally. Go with a 275 60 and you will be happy,

Is anyone running 50 series tires on rallys, if so what size are you using for front and back? Would a 295/50/15 look good and work on a 15x9 wheel for the rear?
