The arms outside of the notch are parts of the cantilever. This system is going to change the lift ratio of the shockwaves. There is a shaft that goes through the frame that connects to the arms on the other side.

Aha!I get it.The lower end of the shockwaves will attach to brackets on the frame right?When the bags airup it will produce downward force on the arms and bingo....orbit.Very nice work man,I'll be savin pics for when I wanna take the next step down to the ground.

You hit the nail right on the head. I havn't finished the rest of the tube work yet on the lower part of the chassis.

Make sure to keep posting pics,you've got me real interested.I'm gonna be out of the country for a month come Monday but I'll be searchin for this thread when I get home.Keep workin in the monster garage and I look forward to seeing the finished rolling frame!

Here are some more pictures of the chassis. We are on our third style of wheel now. We ended up going with a intro twisted vista II 6. The people over at intro are awsome. Enjoy

WOW!! I'm not much for the lowering of trucks but I do appreciated creativity & fab skills. I'd go the other way with that setup, (so I could lift it up when off-road, & lower it somewhat for the street), but to each his own. The main reason I'm replying is to compliment the fabwork.

uniballs

Just out of curiosity, are you using 1" uniballs on both the upper and lower control arms? How do these bolt to your spindle? Are there spacers or bolts available to fit in the tapered spindle holes? The whole setup looks great!

No. What I did is I changed the C10 spindles to work with mustang II balljoints. I machined new tapers for the lower and and re swedged the uppers. I looked into the uniballs and I might try those on another project.

What type of 4 link are you going with, angled upper bars or straight with a panhard? Also put the largest brakes you can on there to help fill the wheel and make it safe to stop. If I have a pet peeve about any truck with super bling wheels, it is not running big enough brakes to stop the rolling mass.

In the last picture you can see the 4 link setup I went with. I'm using a triangulated with the upper bars going to the outside of the rearend instead of the upper bars going towards the center. I'm with you on the brakes. We are looking at a set of wilwoods for the front and rear.

it looks like you are running a stepside bed.....any major mods to get the wheels to tuck? i.e. narrowed rear, major mods to the inside of the fenders?

No we are running a fleetside. I didn't have to make any mods on the rear to clear the outer fender lip but the bed floor and inner fender wells are going .

My bad, I did not notice the upper diagonal until now. With the amount of travel you are planning, I assume you have some type of spherical bearings at both ends to eliminate enevitable binding associated with running diagonal bars?

Valleycustom, damn I can fabricate but you guys are doing a beautiful job on that truck frame and doing it all in your garage is incredible. Props for this guy for sure. Next you will be building these frames for guys I am sure someone will ask. You better take measurements and record what you do. PROPS>

Man I wish I have a 10th of the skills you have man! You could make a killing building frames for people! People would have you booked for months waiting for your next crazy creation. How long have you been working on this frame?
