Yeah, and they fit great, too.

Don't worry about the stock airbox, so long as you have the MAF - the stock one really doesn't (IMO) work very well in our engine bays. I used the inlet elbow from a 2004 GTO, put that directly on the TB, with the MAF on the other end, and a K&N directly on the MAF.

Fuel...I don't know if the '01 uses it, but the '00 mine is from used a 'returnless' fuel rail at the engine, so your regulator should be somewhere else in the system. I used a GM combination filter/regulator (it's for either the '97 or '98 Corvette, I don't recall at the moment) to take care of this. Also, I'm using the stock tank, with an external Walbro GSL392 mounted on the framerail.

With decent set of headers, proper exhaust, a cam and throttle body upgrade...
Something in the neighborhood of 320 usable, rear wheel hp should be achievable.

320 usable RWHP? I was guessing it would be closer to 360 RWHP. Man, exhaust is like ... that's a ways down the road. I haven't even started to think about that. Probably won't for a little while.

Paid today to have it shipped to my garage door. it was a painstaking $4600. I hope this beast is worth it. Gonna buy motor mounts today (GenIII motor mounts from ECE, $250).

If anyone can hook me up with a radiator and cooling fans, I'd dig that.

Taylor, I'll PM you about the cam and springs.

Funny enough, Schram's just called back (Tom), but a bit too late. Already hit the pay button. Now I'm wondering if I could have saved ~$1000 or so.

You should make 320+ rwhp bone stock with the T56 and LS6 intake. With some modified vette manifolds like I initally used you should bump that up another 10 rwhp. With a LS6 cam/springs the mentioned vette manifolds and decent tune you will be in the 350+ rwhp range with out a doubt...

Here is a completed auction. Just watch ebay and you will find a set. They are usually on there it just so happens none are right now. These move alot of air and require individual relays for each fan with 30amp fuses on each circuit...

You could also check on the LS1 related forums...

They typically go for anywhere between $75-150...

Thanks

I saw first hand a Z06 Vette lay down 358 RWHP, so 360 would be damn respecatble.

Thanks, JDL.

I've got some specific pages bookmarked within the ls1tech site (along with picture galleries from a couple of members out of either site).

I am a camera bug and I like to type, so I guess I'm gonna do up a FAQ on this swap.
