Re: Wish me luck on this.......
I have what I believe is a dealer roof rack on mine and it doesn't look like that one. Mine has fiberglass supports running side to side with three metal bars running front to back. Its listed in the Hickey catalog.

Re: Wish me luck on this.......
still no word back.... it was at a small farm house, so I don't know how many people get the note I left on the front door....??? Dad says we will make a road trip out there over Thanksgiving break sometime. Hope we are able to make a purchase.... I haven't seen one sitting like this in Kansas, though I know where there is a sweet one in a guy's garage that has probably been parked since the 70's ..... Wish I could talk him out of that one. If I can purchase this blazer.... what color do you think I should go with??? I really like Orange, Black, possibly that light Yellow, but I like Blazerman's ochre CST..... I might have to go with that look.... Thanks guys for the support.... it's top notch like always around all of us. TRevor oh and good score LUV.... they are still out there.

Re: Wish me luck on this.......
Door mirrors struck me funny until I realized they are mounted much lower than what you normally see. I also think that resto-mod done sometime in past, I'm going with mid-late 70's, we weren't that bad in 80's were we?
Deluxe side panels and scroll on rear seat but plane door panels. Good find, stay with it.

Re: Wish me luck on this.......
It`s been painted, right? The mirrors are aftermarket and no holes from originals. Those smoothies are straight out of the early 70s.Since it was painted I thinking the stripe came later.Definately an evolution,I like it!

Re: Wish me luck on this.......
The more I look the more interesting it is---deluxe double wall top, great body, pretty much complete interior, etc. You might try the old trick of going over there this week, borrow a cane and stick a quarter in you shoe to limp. Look pityfull--probably wouldn't be too hard!hehehe
--just don't smile and do a dance if the guy says "it's yours"! Being Christmas time, some folks are just really nice and will do things they might not otherwise do. I spent a year in that part of Kansas---at Ft. Riley--and never saw a Blazer!! Oh, wait a minute, that was 1966 and they weren't made yet!! Did meet a lot of pretty girls--we drove around on the hunt---in a 1963 split window corvette. GOOD LUCK!!! |
