Re: stepside tail light idea
Geocities allows only so much transfer per hour. I never had a problem sharing pics on other sites. This board has alot of traffic. I'll have to start using smaller pics.

Re: stepside tail light idea
I'm thinking of using motorcycle "bullet" style tail lights. but i like the idea of putting somthing in the fenders. even the standard boat trailor lights countersunk in the fenders would be cool.
I think a simple led strip under the tail gait would be a simple fix |

Re: stepside tail light idea
How about 72 cutlass lights frenched in the fenders?
EDIT: Oops, these are 72 and not 70. Last edited by 71tahoe; 07-12-2007 at 07:44 AM. Reason: ID10T error |

Re: stepside tail light idea
A light that can be tunneled into the fender is a good idea. The Cutlass lights look clean.
As for a squential light, I have a module that is NOS for Cougar/T-bird from '67. I hung onto it for the possibility of a sequential signal. Putter's links to the pulsing third brake light is cool. I like that idea, and it is cheap. I know this is an old post, but it's a good one with lots of info.

Re: stepside tail light idea
if you're anything like me you run into cops that might call the sequential lights "flashing" lights. knew a guy that did it on another car and got crap from the cops all the time.
I have been stopped multiple times in a turquoise '57 chevy bel aire, with those tiny little blue dots in the tail lights. i swear the ticket i used to carry around said "impersonating and emergency vehicle" i found the town the cop lived in and took out a huge happy ad telling the story of the local cop who thought a turqoise '57 chevy was an ambulance and "perhaps the citizens could help the poor feller out". found out later the cop was harrassed about it so bad he quit. sorry for rambling but i love that story! |
