Re: Calling All Idaho Truck Fans
Not quite dead yet, just now got to looking at this forum again, I am in the LOVELY *hack cough* town of Garden City. Long hours at work trying to get the cash to get another running vehicle so I can finally pry the wife out of the grey brute, hard to restore one when it is running down the road .

Re: Calling All Idaho Truck Fans
I grew up on a farm in Glenns Ferry ID. I will post a picture of the farm outlined in red. My wife lived in Mountain home. I also have family in American Fall. Our families along with most of my vehicles still live in Idaho so we visit alot. We went to college in Utah and haven't got back to the promise land.

I'm from Mtn. Home but currently in the military stationed in Germany. My '67 C-10 was originally purchased from the former Ganger Chevrolet in Mtn. Home and is currently stored away there in town awaiting my return in about 7 months. I'm anxious to get back to it! Dave

Re: Calling All Idaho Truck Fans
Hey I'm from down here in Wendell. Theres another guy, MEKDAD, in Filer. I have a 69 LWB 4x4 and a 67 LWB 4X4 that I am working on. I get up to Boise every now and then, Drilling and blasting. We have quite a few untouched junkyards down here, a big one just 2 miles north of Wendell with 13 67-72's in it. You guys ever get down this way.
Hey Its70 You guys ever grow hay on that farm. My dad used to buy a lot of hay from Glenns Ferry, Paradise valley area when I was a kid. Hey Red thanks for your service. Hope you get home safely.

Re: Calling All Idaho Truck Fans
Lots of hay, Odog. We had 300 head of Black Angus to feed through the winter. On good years we would also sell some of the hay. I spent many summers cutting hay all through the night because it was the only time the dew point would be right. We also grew corn for chopped silage for the cows. And of course potatoes to sell to Simplot, the crook himself. I don't know if you have heard of the 3 Island crossing State Park but our farm is basically were the pioneers crossed the Snake River and the park has a good view of our farm. I know what junk yard you are talking about, my dad owned a NAPA store in Gooding when I was growing up and whenever I would go to Wendell to pick up or drop off parts I would stop and look at a 53 Studebaker that I wanted. I wish I had that car now, just didn’t have the money back then. I played a lot of sports against Wendell and Filer back in my day, graduated in 2000.

Re: Calling All Idaho Truck Fans
Not from Idaho (Texas), but I noticed your login is 72armyswbtruck. I just picked up a 72 swb army truck myself. Have you done any research on these trucks? Mine was a 350/auto truck, PS, PB. It appears that the truck was originally olive drab green on the outside, and the dash was silver (?)
