Re: R.I.P. Trucks! TV
I will try to be objective. I wish Stacy David all the best. I look forward to his next show. He did actually do stuff between all the "Buy this part" portions of the show.
The first "second generation" Trucks show is not encorageing. Yes, it does seem to lean more toward the "Buy this part" programing of Truck Universe on Speed channel. Honestly, some of Stacey's shows did that over the years. Part of that is the reality of finding funding to do the programing in the first place. What I wish for is for a program that eliminates the "Buy this part" of the program and puts its focus on fixing and working on trucks (and any vehicle for that mattter) in a simple and effective manner for what I believe is the majority of people who do not have thousands of dollars for a killer vehicle (end of rant). |

Re: R.I.P. Trucks! TV
I can't wait to see Staceys new show(s)? But perhaps after a bit of feedback gets back to them, Trucks might make a few changes and the guys might come around - a couple months go by and we'll all look back and say "whew, that was close".... ya never know.

Re: R.I.P. Trucks! TV
I will give them a few more shows before I make up my mind. I did like that they tipped there hats to Stacy rather than just ignoring the fact that he is gone.

Re: R.I.P. Trucks! TV
I'll keep watchin here and there. Not enough build shows to be choosey. Some NEW sucky shows gotta be better than watchin the same three reruns over and over.

Re: R.I.P. Trucks! TV
Shadetree Mechanic was one of my favorite shows and even two guys garage but all the other stuff was just mildly interesting cause they were doing stuff that very few people could afford to do to there own trucks.
I liked Stacy too but these new guys are just boring clowns.

i finally watched the 4/1/06 episode and i gotta say, the stupidass wrestler looking dude is a joke. and him using lines from A-Team like "i love it when a plan comes together" just cement the stupidity.
