Re: Dash/Gauge Questions
Some vendor somewhere serious needs to come up with the clear plastic piece that has lettering in some color other than that god awful green! He'd make millions! Black, blue, red, hell pink would almost be better!

The numbers/lettering on the plastic grabs the light and lights up, a sticker on the plastic, be it inside the plastic or outside the plastic, would not light up. |

Re: Dash/Gauge Questions
Would any of you guys put a white face on a speed warning speedometer? That is my dilema for the week. Trying to decide if I want to risk my working speed warning unit.

Re: Dash/Gauge Questions
How hard is it to get the vinyl and all its residue off the gauges? I have been thinking about it but I am not sure if I want to risk ruining my speed warning speedo that was so hard to get.

Re: Dash/Gauge Questions
I don't know if this will help, but here we go! Question three! I bought a six pack of light sockets from NAPA. They were made buy a company called Big A, the word BIG with a big red A under it. It is lableled SOCKET ASSEMBLY, Part number 15-1324.
Back of box reads, double contact socket assembly. Fits instrument panels with printed circuit board, 5/8 mounting hole. Chevrolet 70-84. Bottom of box reads Product of Standard Motor products, INC. Made in Canada. They were a perfect match for my truck. Hope this is helpful for all looking for these. Total of six per pack. Andy also said he has alot and that is good too! Respectfully Quote:

Re: Dash/Gauge Questions
the vinyl comes off easily with the same amount of heat used to apply it. the residue is usally a very small amount and if you heat right it most likely will not leave any residue behind.
