IMO, this wouldn't be a daily driver the day you pick it up. If it were me, i would certainly buy it for $500 if it runs, and do a frame off build on it. Assuming the floors are as bad as the rocker, it will probably be cheaper to find a new cab to mount on it. |

Re: Looking @ a '67, help me out.
I have paid way more for way less... But don't buy it for a daily driver, you will end up hating it if you do.
Good luck, Rg

Re: Looking @ a '67, help me out.
If the title says 67---then there is a 68 front clip and 68 or later bed on the frame and the cab has the large back window which I believe was an option in 67. The build option sheet on the inside of the glove box door would tell. When one see's this much swaping, you kind of wonder if the truck was originally a long bed and the frame cut down. Matching numbers for engine to vin on cab is no biggie on something this old. The engine does not show like it was rebuilt in the last 10 years as the crud is well established. Did you look good above the sun visors on the inside windshield frame for rust damage? I understand why you would pass on this as a daily driver as it will need some significant work to make it safe and reliable. Still, if it were here, I would buy it in a second!!! Huck

Re: Looking @ a '67, help me out.
I would buy it to flip, not to fix.
You could easily make your money back + fund your next project. Clean it, tune it up, highlight the positives, and sell it. A little advertising or some time on e-bay would yield some cash. I think the windshield seal and the bondo would be reasons for me to pass on making this MY project. My guess is that it has set for more than 1.5 yrs. (pass. wheels sunk in) I would also guess that the starting the engine story is mostly story. This will not be a turn key driving project, it will be the start of a full restoration.

Re: Looking @ a '67, help me out.
It's either a 68 or a major transplant. It needs cab work (corners, sills, etc.) ... I would guess it can't be counted on as a DD at this stage but it looks to be easily worth $1500 ....
If you can afford to own one you can't drive .. get it, otherwise... plan on spending abit more and loking elsewhere.

Re: Looking @ a '67, help me out.
I guess the sellers parents don't mind the truck sitting in the back yard anymore.

Re: Looking @ a '67, help me out.
I'm trying to but can't talk to the one who can say yes or no to the deal. I have made an offer but don't know which way it will go. Will keep you posted. Have my neighbor Mr.T and buddy Larry both on stand by for a Texas trip.
