+1. Those three categories make a lot of sense to me.

Re: Need your 73-87 opinion, website related

Jeff -
I hade selected a couple of stepside pics before I had read your most recent post. Since the others and you like the treatment of the last one, I'll post the one I quickly threw together for the Stepsides.

As you mentioned, it helps to start with quality pics with good clarity. But, to merge them together, a similar prospective (camera angle) helps. The final image treatment does rid the pics of inconsistencies.

Is the size (4" x 5") of the pic below about what you're after? I can resize them all to the same size. Before I attempt any more, I'll wait for your response on the final truck selections. I'm thinking keeping the number trucks in each image to 2. For the Fleetsides, I'm thinking of using Ken's and BigArmz (Frontside shot). For the Steppers: the Blue Rearside shot (or maybe 75Silverstep's) and ???. For the burbs/blazers: The burb and one of the blazers that you posted (depending on the angle). I was also considering using one of redz 1970 K5s pics of his 88 burb. For the buildup pics, maybe one of yours and 7T7s or ???. We need the couple of Dually owners here to submit pics to your rides section. Then, we would need a Dually image.

All in all, mostly any of the pics that the guys have posted here in the past will work. All cool regardless of their current state.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Re: Need your 73-87 opinion, website related

Marcus, the size isn't too important, as I can easily resize the images when they are done...just make them all the same size and I can take it from there.

Lets just do three buttons for now...fleets, steps, and blazers/burbs. For fleets lets go with Kens and Bigarmzz, steps lets use the blue one and a 4by from somewhere, and Blazers and Burbs...use which ever ones you think will work best.

Does anyone have any good, clean pictures of a 4wd stepside? Nothing with 10 inches of lift, just clean 4wd trucks with no or small lifts would be perect.

Again Marcus, thanks for your help on this!

Honestly I like it the way it is. I think its cool to see them all on one page.
But I understand the need to split them up for loading and bandwidth

Good 'nuff, Jeff.

I'll be preoccupied with the holiday weekend coming up. But, I should be able to get something to you next week.

Jeff-

Here you go.

If you would like to change anything on them let me know. Otherwise, I can email you the original versions (without the 73-87.com 'watermark'.) At this reduced size, the jpegs are 74 - 94 kB.

BTW, It might be wise to do a couple other buttons for future use since the templates are already developed. Just a thought ...

Re: Need your 73-87 opinion, website related

Marcus, I like them a lot!

One more tweak, can you get a white border of some kind around these? It doesn't have to be big and fancy, just something to make the buttons pop as I will be using them on a black background.

The only other button I may need is a Misc or ?? button, for the flat bed and who knows what else owners. I think Ken's (Kiilew) truck would be a good one to use...I may have to chat with him about getting some new pics of his new truck.

Before I publish these buttons, I have to make a few E-mails to get approval for the use of the truck pics we used...but that shouldn't be a big deal...I hope.

Again, thanks for your help with these!

Jeff -
I figured that you would use the (button) images as you would with the other buttons that you've set up on the other pages of 73-87.com. Since you use a table format for your buttons, these might not need a white border to make them pop. But, I put a 'lighted' border as a visual.

I took a snapshot of what the various treatments might look like in a table format. At this size (225x140), some detail is lost, but the button size is under 16kB and the format is consistent with that on your other pages. If you go with a larger table, say 2 rows by 2 columns then larger images (~500x~300) may be used. Just let me know, and I'll email you the images.

I can put together 'Misc' image using one of pics that Kiilew posted in his thread and one of the pics that magnethead posted on the Reader's ride page.

Marcus, I actually don't use tables all too much, maybe a couple pages...but that's about it. I may or may not use a table for these, if I do, it will be a vertical table I think. Can you send me two variations of each (lighted border and non-lighted border)? You can just send them to me in whatever size you have, as I can adjust from there (not too sure on size yet anyways).

Low84, the site was originally created by Mike (swervin ervin), I just took what he had and put my own spin on it. I guess you could say it was a joint effort. There are also a few others (like Marcus above), who help out from time to time...writing articles, helping with graphics, submitting info, etc...who also play a big part IMO making it such a great site.

Jeff-
I emailed the two versions to your 73-87.com account.
BTW, here's the 'Specialty' button.
