Re: Anybody had a truck in a magazine????
One other thing to remember, the photogs usually want you to be available in the evening usually about the time you want supper. They like to shoot in the "SWEET" light. That means from just before the sun starts to set to almost full dark. They also claim that if you photo your own truck they don't want clutter or people around it.Sad to say they should follow their own advice. They seem to always print half the story on the gravel or grass in the picture where my 200-200 vision don't quite adjust enough to read.

Re: Anybody had a truck in a magazine????
well I guess I will see what happens. We set it up at the show last night and polished her up. We got great responce from just other car people setting there cars up. We also saw the people that we bought the truck from years ago. They kept saying are you sure this is the same truck? It made me feel good. Thanx for all the support you guys. Hopefully it will make it someday. Thanx Dana

Re: Anybody had a truck in a magazine????
I had my 2000 dodge ram (the one in my sig) in a couple of magazine. It was also used for some print ads for Flowmaster and January in there 2006 calender. My dodge used to be dark green and got no attention so one day at a show I asked what I needed to do to get a photo shot and he told me bright paint or something custom every one is tired of dark colors and they want to see something new. So I want home did some more body work and painted it house of color tangelo pearl, next show I got a photo shoot. You have to them be at the shows they are at and don't bug them if your truck is worthy of a photo shoot they will find you. I have built many trucks over the years and showed almost all of them a few things I have learned (and this does not pertain to all magazine photographers) when you shoe your ride at a show don't open your hood and doors all the way just open every thing so every one can see what you have but the truck doesn't look like it died with the doors, hood, bed cover open.Make sure every thing is clean and last buy not least you don't need a bunch of gimmick stuff like fancy displays thing that might take away from the truck.
