Re: My son just got me this!

I lucked out. I was at walmart yesterday and I remembered to check in the toy section. They had 1 of the 1:64 and 1 of the 1:24, so I bought them both.

Re: My son just got me this!

I was at wally world today and I wiped them out...

4 of the 1:64

13 of the 1:87

0 of the 1:24

I took some pics of the 1:87 on my train layout. These different companies should start getting their stuff together on the size of the trucks. The JL K5 Blazer makes the p/u look like a 1/4 scale car.

Re: My son just got me this!

Man as much as I hate to may have to make a trip to wal-mart, we have two in the town where I am at school and two back home, if you guys are willing to pay shipping I am going to buy all of them these stores have and I will sell any extras to you all at cost plus shipping. Now keep in mind I haven't been to the store yet so I may get zero but who knows, out of 4 stores one of them has to have a few right?

Re: My son just got me this!

I got in touch with teh company and they are sold at only "select" Walmarts, what ever the heck that means. If you enroll for their newsletters and email them theywill send you a list by state where they are being sold. I'm waiting for my list as they don't appear (as yet anyways) in any of our local Wallyworlds.

Re: My son just got me this!

I went back up to the walmart my son got the first one at last night. It has been raining and bad weather for several days. After i found a 1/24 and a 1/64, my wife and I walked the store a bit. Heard what sounded like a tornado siren and just kinda blew it off. They came over the intercome saying there was a tornado touching down close by and to get to the back of the store. I was like whatever I have lived here most of my life and was on a roof top watching the May 3rd tornado go by. Just let me pay for my stuff and i am outta here. They where herding people to the back like cattle, it was like i was trapped. Then they said it was in Goldsby(where my truck is sitting) and heading up I-35 towards us. Tried to call the shop to check on my buddies and the "network busy" flashed on my phone and couldn't call out. Few minutes later they annouced all clear and I payed for my stuff and got out. Called my buddies again and all was fine but he couldn't hear the phone ringing from all the rain hitting the roof. Sorry for the long post just a thought was interesting story on how i got my 1/24th!

Re: My son just got me this!

So last night after I bought a 1:87 and a 1:24 C10's, I pulled the 1:87 from the box and I was pleased with it. However, I waited until my wife got home from work to take out the 1:24 (i was debating on leaving it in the box) to show it to her and take a look for myself. I noticed immediately that there were 3 dings in the hood. After noticing this I took a closer look and it seems that the hood and doors went through a rougher process than the chassis because they looked like someone took a fine grit sand paper to them. Hopefully there is another one at the Wally mart that I got this one from so I can swap it out. I will defiantly take a closer look at it before I leave the store though.
