Is it just me or do most all of these trucks have torque thrust style wheels? I'm not saying they dont look good but wow I never really payed attention to how many people have them on their trucks. I dont know but its my 2 cents and yea the stagared look looks awsome.

When I started looking around for wheels I noticed a lot of these trucks with Torque Trust Wheels. I love the look but elected to try something different. I am also going with a stagger look

The 5-spoke look is also a classic look.... which fits older vehicles well. I personally don't like many of the newer wheel designs.

Many newer wheels are being made in China. Talking to a wheel and tire guy he says, "We have a hard time with some of these wheels imported from China and other foreign countries, because they just do not balance out well. We end up using a lot of wheel weights on them." It is better to order true wheels manufactured from companies like Centerline, Boyd, or Billet Specialties which have higher quality standards.

An 8" wheel w/4"BS works great on 67-72's. Add an extra .5 to that wheel width to the outside edge of the rim to try & keep the BS around 4".

5.4" - 1.5" = 3.9" which is pretty darn close to the magic number. IMO though, wheels w/that much BS & a spacer to center them properly aren't going to look as good as the correct size/BS wheel w/no adapter.

5.0" backspacing in the front for the 18x8 is all that is offered. on the 20x8.5, 5.4 is all that is offered.

They are sending me the wheels to test fit and if they don't look right. I can send them back at thier charge but the catch is that I order a set of wheels with custom backspacing which cost twice the original cost. I already know that I will have to use the adaptor/spacer on the rear. Does anybody have pics of a 5.0" backspacing on the front? 18x8" or 20x8"?

My truck is apart again now but I have 20x10's w/5 1/2"bs and 18x8's w/4 1/2"bs up front. The rear fill up the wheel opening very well as do the fronts. I have 295/40/20's and 255/55/18's.........the truck has a 4/6 drop.......these tires are a little tall but I wanted to raise the ground clearance a little because of my rear mounted fuel tank and 3" exhaust........

The 5" BS for the front is good. It's the rear BS I was explaining & the effects on the overall 'look' of the wheel/tire combo on the truck.

I think I will be running som Adaptors but I am just not to sure what size maybe 1.5"?? the front is going to be 5.0" bs w/ an 8" rim ther rear is going to be an 8.5" rim with a 5.4" bs either a a 1" or 1.5" Adaptor should work?? I dond want the tires to set in to far.

The fronts sound good. You might need t trim the lip of the lower a-arm to give a little more clearance from rubbing when making tight turns.

I would go w/4" BS on the rear. So.... if you use the 5.4"BS wheels, you'll want the 1.5" adapter.

Remember, he has the 'wide' rear axle. 4.5 would probably be optimal. Best thing to do is get in there and measure. I got the smoothies w/ 5.4 BS and a 1 1/4" adapter. Your results may vary...

This is what I recommend 100%. I would never buy a wheel based on someone elses measurements unless they took those measurements off of my truck.

245-45-R18 in the front and 275-40-R20 in the rear. When I pulled some measurments on my truck I came up with a 1" to 1.5" adaptorin the rear. It was hard to be exact without wheels to test fit

I always 'reverse calculate' using some wheels I already have access to. I typically use steel ralley wheels 'cause I always have 1 or 2 around.

See how a known wheel fits & get BS measurements. Then add or subtract the difference of the 'new' wheels BS & see how far in or out you need to go.
