Re: Daily drivers...

Heres mine... Recently did an LS1 transplant to make it more reliable and less of a gas sucker.

Re: Daily drivers...

i change all the time, lucky for me im indesicive and have choices.

My ex daily driver, 1970 chevelle 307 2 bbl auto with a 308 open. Car is worn down, rusted, interior is trash, but she rode like a new car, just had to add a pint of tranny fluid EVERY day. burned hardly any oil.

My 1977 chevy pickup, heavy half, 350 auto 340 open rear. Added 16x5.5 FACTORY 5x5 steel rims and 77 hubcaps, bought at 87k, has 95k now and still never had the heads off the motor daily driving right now due to working construction and house repair.

my 1980 camaro, daily driver during school unless i need the truck. 150k miles, all orignal excluding the possibility of driver side head being replaced (all 1980 and newer heads suck anyway) and the trannys been rebuilt. 305 4bbl turbo 350 and a 256 open rear (i know im gonna get a 342 posi for her). All orignal excluding the smog pump being removed, 70-74 style dual exhaust with resignators not crossflows (79 z tail pipes with cherry bump super turbo muffler). and a set of draglites and 225/70/r15s on 15x6 with 3.5" backspace up front, and a set of 275/60/r15s on 15x8 4" backspace in the rear, she gets the looks.

had to drive the truck this day, the truck has the best heater anyway.

Re: Daily drivers...

Being a 16 year old with no job I don't really have too many places I need to be in the summer, but when I do, I drive my '69 C-20. My friends get all excited about their '07 Civics and Cobalts. But I wonder how many nods and thumbs-ups they get in their econoboxes.

Re: Daily drivers...

I'm 17 and this is my only ride. I have a job that pays enough to get some gas for cruisin' and some parts here and there. My dad and I have done all the work ourselves. I'm in love with these trucks... and my girlfriend hates that I drive it everyday rain, shine, snow (that's scary!), and I park in the high school parking lot! If it breaks I don't have a ride... so I take care of it.

The 68 was my DD for the better part of 6 years. The 66 longbed I had almost a year before my dad wrecked it. The 86 is my new DD. It has only 61,000 on the clock.

Looks like a '78 YZ in the bed. 125, 250, or 400?
