Re: No Rust Trucks!!!!!!
I think descriptions & hype should be taken as nothing more than that person's opinion. Opinion is just that and nothing more. At least there are pictures of some of the trouble areas on this one so you have an idea what it is. Unless the words are coming from someone you know WELL, insist on pics of EVERYTHING you want to see.
If I would have paid attention to my own advice a few month's back, I wouldn't have overpaid for a truck with a back yard paint job, horrible body work & lots of rust.

Re: No Rust Trucks!!!!!!
well rust free it's not , but it's not junk either that would make a nice truck it's not that bad , it's a 69 , it's a short bed , and it's got potential !!!
you could not find one in that good of condition here in southrust virginia in the 80's , and you can forget it now , I could make a nice one out of that truck ,,

Re: No Rust Trucks!!!!!!
I actually have a bud who is watching that truck. He said at least he could see the rust in that one. So far it was a better deal than all of the spackled up bondo trucks he's been finding. We haven't seen it in person but who knows. The truck definitly has potential................definitly not rust free.

Maybe that's not RUST after all, maybe it's just rust colored paint.

Re: No Rust Trucks!!!!!!
I bet if I sand blasted it there be no truck maybe just the engine. mine has rust but not that bad just a little in the floor board and a few minor holes in the bed and the cab corners are pretty bad I seen a white blazer in a junk in way better condition than that all it needed was a little bit engine rebuilding and a new transmission and was it but the paint if you touched it was like baby powder or chalk

Re: No Rust Trucks!!!!!!
That green truck is hilarious! Did it spend its life in a salt mine, parked under a conveyor?

Re: No Rust Trucks!!!!!!
The rust across the top of the firewall is what tells me it could have some major rot. 1000 max because it might not even run.

Re: No Rust Trucks!!!!!!
What in the ...??!!!!
Goes to show ya...........put somethin decent on auction E-bay and no one is even interested. Put a piece o' .... up and they're all over the thing. I have seen numerous trucks here in Oregon at the pick and pull completely stripped out and next day to the crusher that I would give more for than that Iron Oxide tub!!!! |

Re: No Rust Trucks!!!!!!
My drip rails are rusting through, I just noticed the other day.
I agree that descriptions are a matter of opinion, but you just can't call that rust free. It's like if I sold my green 2wd truck and called it a red 4x4. You just can't argue some things.
