Re: project (Here We Go Again) build thread
well i got a little more done today on the firewall..was pressed for time...but got a good start for about 2 hours worth of work....
I first started of with ,making a few templates for the filler panels . i use just regular poster board. and really try to get the best fit i can. this can be time consuming but its well worth it when it comes time to cut the metal |

Re: project (Here We Go Again) build thread
here is what i started with.. i already shaved the blower motor hole a week or so ago..but it went real fast and easy...i still have more welding to do and some more pieces to make (as far as shaving the wire channel and a few holes) but for a few hours worth of work i am happy...i hope to have the whole fire wall done within a week or two... or three

Re: project (sweet pea)
well a little progress is better than none...i would like to thank my wife for letting me polish my wheels..in the House , it has been very cold in the shop...so i asked her and she said it was fine. she didnt even bat an eye, just gave me a old sheet and said have at it>She did say not to move off the sheet... Any ways after about 2 years of not being polished they turned out ok..I really like these wheels as i have never seen them on anything...EVER.and as Weld Wheels told me...they were very very low production wheels...I lost a center cap about 2 years ago...and paid BIG money do get one....Well here are some pics....

Re: project (sweet pea)
Finally its a Roller again.............well about 90 % a roller. i got the new spindles on 2.5 drop with my already 3 inch springs.. i cannot wait to see it with some wieght on it. i am still waiting on my S.S brake line kit...and new lower control arm U bolts..and new calipers pads.... i feel pretty good about this thing this time around,as in a dont feel i have short cut on single thing. If i dont have the cash to get something or the wife simply says wait a few weeks i dont get anything. i just try to find things to do that dont require any cash. it shure is alot easier to move if needed...I took over both garages so the wife has had to park outside........hopefully in the up and coming weeks i can mate the cab and chassis back together..........well im out to get back at the firewall and cab......

Re: project (sweet pea)
well a little more done saturday...not bad for 4 hours of work....it was alot of grinding and welding..but i have everything welded now....and got it all the crooks and crannies filled with some body wax...i epoxied everything before i started my work..but i know that there was metal showing somewhere....? so i drilled two 5/16s holes one in each side of the firewall...and ran my tube with the body wax....then welded my holes back up......hopefully it will all be fine as in,i dont want to do this again....anyways here are some current pics....i still have lots and lots of blocking to do..and some more mudd and glaze work....but you get the general idea.....sorry for the crappy cell phone pics....but there was no way if i left the shop i would return..it was chilly out there . if i had gotten in the house and felt the fire...i would not have went back.......lol
